Before removing the agitator, how do I remove the plastic cap covering the agitator spindle? It is very tight and I don't want to force it. Does it unscrew or lift off. GE clothes washer, model # GWX6090, purchased 1994. Thanks

Yes remove the rinse cup from the center of the agitator under that you will see a plastic cap remove it in the center you will see a bolt then remove it after that you will be able to pull the agitator-when you put it back together you must make sure the plastic cap is properly seated all the way so no water can get in it put a little dish soap around it and make sure its seated fully

Getting water down the back wall of fridge whether filter is in place or not.

Should still be under warranty? Pursue that route
It/s possible put a paper towel on back side of filter see if you can isolate where the leak is coming from. My guess is the filter isn't installed correctly.

Subzero Model 3211RFD continually runs

remove the top panel and check the coil and the condenser fan motor, that coil should be cleaned at least once a year.the way i clean the coil is remove the cover on the left side, usually just two phillips screws, this is the cover behind the front panel, then on the left side you'll see a quick disconnect, just unplug the wire harness and it will shut down the machine, get a towel and cover the opening, then on the right side of the coil, vac it off with a shop vac,use the brush attachment so you don't damage the fins on the coil, then put the hose on the other side of the vac so it blows and blow through the coil, the towel keeps all the dust inside the cabinet so it doesn't blow out all over your kitchen, do this a few times, lift the towel after every blow and vac up all the dust, then depending on how the top is move the towel over to cover the right side and blow through the coil where the fan blade is,it's best to blow it out from both sides, also before you move the towel over to the other side, put it on blow, stick the hose under the towel and blow into the cabinet to lossen all the dust up then move the towel and blow out the coil, vac out all the walls inside the cabinet.this is the number one killer of sub zero machines,if the coil isn't cleaned out,the oil in the fan motor dries out and the motor dies and then the compressors can overheat and need to be changed, you're talking big money.if the fan is ok up there and the temps.are normal inside the cleanout should take care of it running to long, the heat from the machine escapes through the coil so if it's clogged with dust it will run hot and longer than normal.hope this helps and good luck with your machine.

My washing machine Gallery Series front load washer has just quit running properly (after having never had any problems). It begins but stalls. I can go in and push start and it will start up again. I...

the internal drain inside of the washing machine is plugged with something. Pull the washer out and look at the drain tube in the back. It will be a clear tube. if it is blocked, you will be able to see the blockage in this area. If it is not plugged up at the back drain tube then it will be plugged up under the wash basin which means taking it all apart. The first part is an easy fix. the second part is a 2 hour fix. Start by looking in the back of your machine. It might be difficult to move because it will not drain. You can use a wet dry vac to remove some water in the basket or from the back drain but you have to remove the wash cage to get to the bottom of the washer where the drain tube begins. You can also try to unclog the washer by using your shop vac on the disharge hose. Towels with fringes or anything with fringes will clog these washers.

A lot of the table cloth is stuck under the agiator, you can pull it off and remove the table cloth material from the bottom, this is keeping the aigator from turning and allowing the water to drain, make sure you unplug the washing machine while you work on it.

Water draining under crisper bins & onto shelves. Try again

Your drain tube is stopped up. Take the panel off in the freezer section and chip away the ice in the pan below the coil. When you get to the drain hole pour hot water in it until it free flows. You will need a towel in the freezer to catch the excess water. Run some extra hot water through it to assure that you clean the drain out good.
