Missing guard for front of vacuum

I purchased this vacuum over ebay. It was listed as a working vacuum but when it arrived it was missing the front guard and will not suction at all. The roller spins but it will not pick up. Where can I purchase this part?

Another person pointed me to a website that sells parts. I've emailed them for assistance and I'm hoping I will be able to find the part through them.

Thank you

There are many websites that provide the consumer with parts for repairing their appliances. I use totalvac.com to find what I need for my own sweeper. I looked there for the answer to your problem to no avail. I did a search on the Internet and found a site that may be able to help you. It seems to have many parts unavailable elsewhere. http://www.vacuum-depot.com/eureka_vacuum_repair_parts.asp

Good luck.

I need an operators manual for the bissell model #1631 please, and a parts list. I may be missing something when I purchased it at a yard sale.

Just picked up this vacuum at a second hand store. Inside I can't figure out how to attach the bag - there doesn't seem to be anything for it to hook on to - I am wondering if a piece is missing.

Hello,

I have uploaded a parts diagram for your vacuum model that you listed that your repair under, the Hoover model S3330 and S3332 below. It looks like the part diagrammed number 3, which is called the Bag Holder may be missing from your vacuum if you're not able to get the bag in. This is a part that we're able to get for you if you need to purchase it. Please just visit our website, http://www.govacuum.com, and use the contact us link if you need to order this part.

Hopefully that's all it needs, and you'll be good to go! Please feel free to request a clarification if you actually have a different model then this. The model may be found on the bottom or the back of the vacuum, and usually starts with a letter in front on Hoover models. If you found this helpful, please be so kind and rate the repair solution as helpful by clicking the thumbs up icons at the top of the page. I really hope this helped you, thanks again.

Hoover Steam Vac - Brushes not turned, no suction power

The Brushes not spinning is most likely is caused by seized bearings in the turbine, requiring shop service (easy fix). The suction issue can be caused by the standpipe seal missing or lower recovery tank not on properly, on some models missing front panel. I would need more exact model info to assist further.

How to attach sand paper to the Kirby Turbo Sander attachment?

There is a plastic guard around the edges that comes off. Then, there are clamps that hold each end of the sandpaper. If you can't see the clips, then the guard is still on and needs to be removed. Hope this helps...

If pieces are missing or broken I would try and replace the piece. You can usually get these items cheap on Ebay.

the above link shows you how to change the belt on the g-series kirbys but it will apply to the heritage edition as well...the only difference is the color...some of the arrows may be missing on the front belt lifter knob...but they are little differences...

hope this helps!!!
