Re: toshiba 57h81 location of hyper board and remove...
Hyper board is located directly behind the input board, this is where all the tv conections are, then they are two tabs soldered from the bottom of the board then it simply unplugs, But replacing all those capacitors on that board can be a little tricky, replace all 10up @16volt caps and that usaly repairs the board
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

most likley your problems are on the hyper board in the set
it will sorta dance at the top and be shaking back and forth at a fast rate
it would require the hyper board being repaired or exchanged
you would most likley wont to locate a professional in your area to assist with this repair
average repair is 280 to 320 in my area
Good for You. First remove hypermodule from chasis remove top cover and replace the 11 10 uf 16 volt caps cx270,cx230,cx221,cx178,cx261,cx250,cx241,cx541,cx670, c514. the hypermodule is a cuircit that stand verticaly behind the input jacks on the back. it is a plug in board. unsolder the tabs and gently unplug. I do not know your experence with surface mounts but that board is easly damaged. and it no availbe.
I'll send over the link for the manual to your personal addy but it won't be much help I'm afraid with identifying and removeing the hyper module. The hyper module in that unit is a square metal can standing vertical on the signal board just behind the jack panel - - leaft side looking into the back of the TV...
Screw driver and some real patience and it should be no problem to remove. From there send the module in and have it repaired and you'll be glad you did...
This is a common fail for a Toshiba 57H81 the cause most likley is caused by the Hyper board, there are several capacitors that have weakened and need to be replaced, these are surface mounted and have VERY Fragile contact points, if your soldering skills are week you might want to take this somwhere to have it fixed
Send me your email address and I'll send you a Pando link to download the schematic...
The caps you're looking to find are Cx261, Cx270, Cx230, Cx178, Cx221, Cx250, Cx670, Cx241, Cx541. You might also check C514 and C5030 all are 10uf\16v but be VERY careful not to screw-up the pads lifing the smd caps in that module.
If you have zagged lines there are 10 small surface mounted capacitors you will need to change on the HYper Board. This is not an easy repair so alot of folks simply replace the hyper board. You will need a service manual to take this set apart and to get the proper part number. If you have no TV repair experience or do not know how to solder, as the hyper board has sheild arounfd it, you should play it safe and call out a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck
