My Krzr cycles through no service, to on line, to a blank screen. It doesn't charge but for an hour. I've tried removing and replacing the battery but that made no difference. I can't text because the dropped service erases what I've typed before I can send. Have you seen this, is there a fix, do I go get a new phone?

Try getting a mini-usb cable and connecting it to your pc- either that, get a second Motorola charger. I suspect that the charger you currently have is defective- it is rare for two pieces of equipment to show the exact same issue
well, i guess, the phone fails to load it's software or firmware. anyway, if you don't know how to flash your phone, and you don't have the back up firmware for it, go to your nearest service center and have it reflashed. at least there, you can rest assure that they will give you the appropriate firmware for your phone.
well you might try and take out the battery,,and remove as many covers as you can, then put the phone in a plastic bag full of white rice..it could dry up the moister..as rice does absorb it..i have seen this work

If the phone still works, check to see if the left side of the hinge (when the phone is open and facing you) is loose. If you can wiggle the top 1/2 of the phone, the hinge is damaged, therefore damaging the flex cable that runs through it. If that is the case, replace the hinge assembly and the flex and you're good.
