Okay well if you have faulty drivers on your Tiger OS then first you need to take them all off. Now the uninstaller doesn't do the best job at this so you really need to follow the steps on this link from start to finish especially doing the disk utility step.
Then go to the hp website at www.hp.com and on the left side you will see a grey menu that says software and driver downloads click on it and type your product. Then click on Mac OS X and then go to the most recent driver available for 10.4 and install from there.
If you are using an airport or other router to connect also try connecting it directly to see if that is the source of the issue.

Only one page per scan.But scan the desire doc and print it in the quantity you want.For the docs to be printed in PDF grab a copy of CutePDf that works as a printer driver.When you choose the doc in to printer you will choose CutePDF instead of your HP.

The reasons can be many, start by removing the printer and reinstalling the software. Now connect the printer and see that the printer is installed again.
Now make a head cleaning fromt he maintenance key and do a test print.If bad then the printing head is bad.
Estimate cost and decide.
Driver could be corrupt. Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Marky12, if the printer works fine on the vista system then you can eliminate a hardware fault. sounds like a driver or install issue. remove the printer completely from the mac (uninstall software, drivers and unplug) then go to epson.com, choose your countrey and head to the support and downloads section. Get the latest drivers for mac/tiger and reinstall the printer (make sure you have restarted the mac in between uninstall and reinstall) and most important !!! dont plug in the usb cord until the driver install tells you to
This may just be the root of your problem.
