i have a turtle beach headset, the wired one, it's a gamer's headset, i use it for my xbox 360, which is what it's made for.

i plugged into my computer, and i use it for ventrilo and world of warcraft. on vent, sometimes people complain that i'm impossible to hear or that there's a lot of interference and or reverb.

i also have a dell pc, with service pack 1, btw, but i used to have sp 2 on it, and occasionally it would do the same thing. i clicked my "realtek audio manager" which is i guess the sound card's sound control, which is supposedly similar to that of windows' and turned down the cd volume to 0, and that apparently fixed the problem. so far. we'll see.

If your using a USB connection on the mic and a gaming keyboard such as Cyber-Sniper, it will cause feedback. I solved my problem by using a mic that plugs directly into the soundcard at the back of the PC.

Microphone earth shield may be broken.check ur power supply current filters (capacitoror regulator ic,other regulator circuits). check and remove the interference near to the mic (mobile charger , switch mode power supplies)

It may be as simple as turning your cdrom volume down or muting it in the windows volume control. I had a buzz through my mic and this fixed it.

Basically we are getting a static sound every now and again. I think it has to do with the wireless signal because it only happens when the room is filled with people not when the room is empty. How can...

Try moving belt pack around on person (speaker) and try moving receiver closer to person speaking, also keep receiver elevated, off floors and antennas need to be up. Wireless signal is like "line of sight" and if there's a ton of obstructions you're cutting signal strength. Also make sure you ALWAYS use fresh batteries, weak batteries will do the same.

Recording quality just went downhill fast.

Make sure your computer audio is NOT set to "echo" as this will loop the audio back out. This setting can sometimes get set by whatever... it happens.

Static sound

basic stuff to check: The xlr cable is good, the phantom power supplied to it is good.

If you are using it for close mic vocal recording, and not using a pop filter, or a wind/spit screen...the capsule can eventually get moist/humid, and a similar sound can occur. Hope this helps.

Head set microphone

Hello there. Depending on the microphone, it might not be worth having it fixed. It would be less eco-friendly, but unless your headset microphone is of high quality, you should not bother fixing it when you can find many for USD 15 anywhere.
