when i use my microphone, like in world of warcraft or ventrilo, all my friends complain about a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound that happens whenever i press ctrl to use the microphone. Then, i recorded something to see if what they said was true, and it was, there was a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound even if i didn't sound record anything. very strange sound, no one i asked knew why it was happening, please he

I bought the microphone from newegg.com and no where on the box says its model number all it says is logitech desktop microphone

Same Problem

Jun 13, 2008

-   i have a turtle beach headset, the wired one, it's a gamer's headset, i use it for my xbox 360, which is what it's made for.

i plugged into my computer, and i use it for ventrilo and world of warcraft. on vent, sometimes people complain that i'm impossible to hear or that there's a lot of interference and or reverb.

i also have a dell pc, with service pack 1, btw, but i used to have sp 2 on it, and occasionally it would do the same thing. i clicked my "realtek audio manager" which is i guess the sound card's sound control, which is supposedly similar to that of windows' and turned down the cd volume to 0, and that apparently fixed the problem. so far. we'll see.

It may be as simple as turning your cdrom volume down or muting it in the windows volume control. I had a buzz through my mic and this fixed it.

If your using a USB connection on the mic and a gaming keyboard such as Cyber-Sniper, it will cause feedback. I solved my problem by using a mic that plugs directly into the soundcard at the back of the PC.
