Can not get past the blue screen

hi i cant get past the blue screen i have put a new windows xp prof disk in buit it still has not worked does anyone have any ideas what is wrong woth it

If you have another comp w/CD burner go to Ultimatebootcd.com and download the free iso to make a bootable CD. It contains memtest and various drive tests.

If you have done a clean install and still have a blue screen I would test the harddrive to make sure it is not failing if that passes I would then do a memory test.
