Question about Keyboards & Mice
I recently got a hello kitty wireless optical mouse, model KT4092. I want to use it for my IBM laptop. I plugged it into the usb port and nothing happened. I do have the CD that came with the mouse but there is no info on the disk explaining what to do. I was told by the company that it should be a plug and play mouse so I just plugged it in and the laptop does not detect it. I plugged it into my desktop and it works fine, so there is nothing wrong with the mouse itself. I did plug another plug and play device in the laptop and it worked. I am not sure if there are settings on the laptop that can be found so I can use it. I did have another mouse a while back and it worked fine. But for some reason the laptop will not detect it either. Please help me with this.
I have the same mouse. What you have to do is first power off the mouse, then push on the green-lit button on the transmitter that you plug into your USB. (It doesn't feel too much like a button but you will see that it starts flashing.) Hold it down for about 15 seconds. Then power on your mouse and you will see that it should start working. I was frustrated too but got mine working.

When you first turn on the laptop it will give you the option to enter the bios something like f2 ,delete, f1 , or such.
when you get in the bios
enable the usb ports and that will fix the issue
