Two buttons at top of key pad the memo and the web button, the back button and the speaker button won't work anymore. I found unlock code under security and entered 0000 and it says code invalid. I can't delete pics, send and reply to text messages, back space. Also, I can't get the screws on the back of the phone under the battery to unscrew either. Can you help?
I used a very small eyeglasses-repair flat-bladed screw-driver that was the same width as one side of the tri-angle screw head to remove the screws on half of a sanyo scp-8300 phone that I found on the road. I do advise caution when releasing the hidden plastic clips around the edge of the phone where the seam between top and bottom is. Once open, you will find a ribbon-cable that leads to the top half of the phone, a rubber pad that has all the keys on it, and the phone's circuit-board, where there is a white plastic sheet overlaying the actual physical buttons mounted on the circuit-board. My advice would be to gently clean the rubber key-pad with warm water and dish-soap. Also, check for sticky gunk around the edges of the key-holes in the plastic case of the phone, if you find some- carefully wash it off with a wet tissue or a cotton swab, use rubbing alchohol if it won't clean off. But, be aware that some plastic can melt or turn gooey when cleaned with alchohol, or it might just remove the color from it. Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.

One thing you could test for is a thermal-fault in the phone's circuitry. To do this, you put your phone in the fridge over-night then, turn it on the next day and try the keypads while it's still cold from the fridge. If that doesn't help and you're brave enough to venture into the inner-workings of your phone to attempt repair/cleaning, you can read my post here- keys won't work on sanyo mm 8300 phone. Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
Contact problem more common with any phone. Simply problem, somtimes you have to take a part the phone clean it, dry it to fix that. You can buy a special cleanig solution for wather dammage from ebay if you realy want to fix this alone.
I'd suggest a new battery, if money is no problem but otherwise, if you have a volt-meter of some kind, you could read the voltage output of the charger and compare that to what it says it should be in the input-output list usually printed on the underside. If it's fine, I'd try carefully cleaning the phone's battery and charger contacts with a small amount of rubbing alchohol and some cotton swabs or tooth-picks lightly wrapped in toilet or tissue paper. If it still refuses to work, you could see if a sales-clerk at your local phone store would let you try a new battery to see if it would work. Otherwise, you could attempt internal repair/cleaning like I outlined here- keys won't work on sanyo mm 8300 phone. Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
If you have a cable for connecting it to your computer, you might be able to get it working again. Otherwise, I'd suggest removing the battery and putting the phone and the battery (separate) in the fridge over-night. The next day, insert the battery and turn the phone on to see what happens. If it's still stuck in recovery mode, I'd advise seeking help at your local phone store or sending an email to sanyo asking for any codes they could supply. Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
