1.Double-click the DMG file to mount it.
2.Open Disk Utility, located in the Utilities folder within Applications.
3.Highlight the mounted disk, indented directly beneath the DMG file, in Disk Utility's sidebar.
4.Select "New Image" from the navigation toolbar.
5.Enter a name for the new image, select a place to save it and select "DVD/CD Master" from the Format drop-down menu. Select "OK" to start the process.
6.Open the folder containing the newly converted image file. It will have .cdr for its extension. Double-click the text to bring up the editing field to rename the file. Delete ".cdr" and add ".iso" and press "Enter." A warning will pop up, asking if you would like to keep the extension .cdr or use .iso. Select "Use .iso" and your DMG file is now an ISO file.

Today tip will help you to resolve the compatibility issues between the Office 2003 and Office 2007. Because all programs in office 2003 used the old file extensions for its different programs. For example Word 2003 saved files with extension .doc, Excel 2003 with .xls and PowerPoint with .ppt. but on the other office 2007 used the new file extensions for its different programs. For example Word 2007 saved files with extension .docx, Excel 2007 with .xlsx and PowerPoint with .pptx. Now the problem is that when you will try to open office 2007 files into office 2003 and you will not open the file due to compatibility issues between both office versions. I am unable to open any of the attached files

You must identify the file extension of the file, example if its resume.odt, odt file extension will works only for open office application. It is important to identify the file extension so that you will know what kind of program or application you are going to use. Have a nice day.

I'm unable to open .eml attachment in Windows Vista.

Here's some info: E-mail message saved by Microsoft Outlook or other e-mail program; may also contain an e-mail attachment, or file sent with the message. Note: If EML files will not open in Outlook Express, try the following:
  1. Open My Computer.
  2. Select Folder Options from the Tools menu.
  3. Click the File Types tab.
  4. Under Registered file types, select EML Outlook Express Mail Message, then click Advanced.
  5. Click Open, then click Edit.
  6. Type the following line in the "Application used to perform action" box:
    "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE" /eml:%1
  7. Click OK twice, then close the window.
EML files may also be opened in Internet Explorer since they are formatted the same as .MHT files; changing the file extension from ".eml" to ".mht" should cause the file to open directly in Internet Explorer.
Hope this helps.

What is the file supported by CECT P9100 to downlpad softwares fron GPRS

It depends whether the downloaded files are audio or video files or just the data files. For example, the video files are generally of .3gp format which can be viewed on VLC players or Quicktime player.
It depends on the file format.

Virus infecting microsoft programs

Its the W32/Rungbu-A virus, it infects Microsoft Word DOC files by copying itself to the same filename but with an .SCR extension, appending the DOC file to the SCR copy, and then hiding the original DOC file.

The W32/Rungbu-A then sets the computer not to show hidden files (in order to hide the DOC file), to give SCR files a Word icon (so the SCR file looks like a Word file), and to hide file extensions (so the SCR file just displays the filename, not the SCR extension). When the SCR file is run, the Word document is displayed as normal.

To recover your .DOC files just follow these steps:

You have to delete all files detected as W32/Rungbu-A.

Set the following registry entries in order to show extensions and hidden files:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
HideFileExt
0

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\HideFileExt
UncheckedValue
0

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
ShowSuperHidden
1

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\SuperHidden
UncheckedValue
1

You must change the attributes of the original .DOC files to stop them being hidden.

My answer to your second question, is in November of 2007 the .SCR file extension started to be used to transmit a Trojan. As a script or a screen saver this file can execute other files which carry the Trojan. The SCR file may be embedded within a ZIP file which could also contain a file with a double extension. Many Windows screen savers come with a .SCR extension by default. Usually these will be found in the Windows main directory. Use caution if you receive a screen saver file via E-mail. These files can contain executable code and can be worms or viruses. Note: This file type can become infected and should be carefully scanned if someone sends you a file with this extension.
