Hi check the disks closely, you may have bought DVD disks by mistake.
A normal CD will not recognise a DVD disk.

No sound on my computer

Hi,
Please be informed that any hardware device needs a driver software to run within a PC, and the driver software depends on the Hardware Make/Model and the Operating System software you are using in your PC to operate it.You will get the Driver software of any hardware within the CD provided with the hardware part at the time of its purchase. The hardware may be an entire PC,Laptop,VGA card, sound card, LAN card, webcam, printers etc.

If you do not have the CD or misplaced it somewhere then you need to download the driver software to get going. Thus you need to know all the above information to get the exact software your PC needs. As you have not mentioned the Operating System you are using, i am unable to give you the direct download link.
However you can download the same by visiting the 'software downloads' section of the website of the hardware brand you have purchased. You just need to Google the name of the brand and visit their website and search for the download section.

If you feel that, my answers have helped you getting solution to your problems then please give a vote.

The LED lights up but the computer does not boot

Your Computer is not POSTing, I recommend removing the BIOS/CMOS battery for about a minute then reinstall it in the correct orientation. This will reset the BIOS/CMOS, and bring the settings to defaults.
Clean your computer with a vacuum and paint brush, pay special attention to your CPU cooler, make sure sufficient airflow is achieved. Ensure all components are connected, clean the RAM fingers with tissue paper. Also do you hear the beep of the BIOS when a speaker is connected on the output pins. It's the pins that are located near the header for power and Hard drive LEDs.
Does your PC beep at you if you power on your PC without RAM installed, it should. If it doesn't then this confirms that your computer Mainboard is faulty.

However more often than not is your Mainboard that is faulty, the best thing to do is return it, if it is under warranty. If it is not under warranty the you will have to consider purchasing a new Mainboard.

CD not working

Oddlly enough, you don't need drivers for the CD/DVD drives. They aren't even recognized unless you have a non-microsoft burning program. Those programs are worth updating. Find out what burning software you have-- I recommend downloading Belarc Advisor, a free program which not only tells you everything in your computer, with model numbers for hardware and all of your software (with their unique codes), but will also inform you if you are missing any needed Windows updates. Once you know what you have, if it came with the computer, you have to seek an upload at the computer manufacturer's website, as it may be a special program not related to the burning software purchased from the software manufacturer---go to their website for upgrades. Check device manager in control panel under hardware to see if you have a problem with anything (a big yellow check)

You didn't recover your CD burning program adequately. Check device manager in control panel under hardware to see if you have a problem with anything (a big yellow check).
Then go to your audio manager on control panel, and set it up for whatever speaker configuration you have. I have realtec audio manager. This step is a must for configuring—you choose whether your laptop will use its own speaks or use your external speakers—you have to turn off the internal speakers and turn on the external.. you might find that your internal speakers are switched off.
