Get some tools and open your CPU. Then un ***** the tray out. Or you can get a butter knife and try to pull the tray out from the two sides. and while your doing that press the open button on your tray at the same time.

Hi Donna,

Please do be frustated.

Your lovely Bose has problem with its mechanism that cause load / unload totally out of order. If you hear some noise while you turn on the bose or when you hit some buttons, it is telling us the motor still work. Now we need to check the broken gears ( or other mechanism linkage).
If you able assemble this Bose, go ahead to find and fix it mehanism ( you may need some parts replacement.

Note : Be carefully with its laser lens while power on ( avoid direct contact to your eyes).

Best luck,

Jay

My tape does not completely eject, stays flush with machine then pulls it back in. it never comes complelely out to grasp.

Does the tape door open? Mine would not eject because the door did not open. I removed the door & it works OK without it.

CD/DVD door will not open

I have the same problem once in a while usually after a disk read error. If you power off the system (unplug it) it will reset and the door will open.

Door won't open

Sure, just unplug the system, wait thirty seconds, plug it back in (the display should read "BOSE 321" or similar) and press eject again. It should work.
If not, try it again, but wait longer...

if under warranty, send for repair.

No warranty, open it yourself and try to open the cd tray/door. remove anything stuck between the tray/door or wriggle the tray/door.

Won't eject DVD

I was able to fix this problem by disconnecting the Bose power cord from the back of the unit. When I reconnected it the door functioned again. Cleaning the disc helped avoid further lock ups.

I had the same problem. It started after I plugged a PS2 into the system using the A/V cable ports in the front. I discovered just by unplugging the cables the door opened again.
