Power on issue with zenith d52wlcd rear projection tv

I have a zenith d52wlcd tv. It is 4 years old. Never had a problem till now. I just replaced the bulb a couple of months ago AND reset the lamp timer. However, the tv does not want to power on sometimes. If it has been on for any length of time and you turn it off, it may not come back on for anywhere from several hours to overnight. When you hit the power button the leds at the bottom of the tv flash like it wants to come on but then go back red, you do not get any error indicators, it simply wont come on. Again, wait a day and it will come on and stay on until you turn it off. But when you turn it off it may not come back on for another day. Any ideas???

I have the same exact issue. A service person looked at it last night and just scratched his head. He is going to replace the lamp. I have my doubts that this will actually fix this issue.

WHAT IS THE PART NUMBER FOR THE OPTICS/LIGHT ENGINE FOR D52WLCD??

It comes as a complete chassis assembly only and I have included a link to a website for purchase. The only issue is the cost is almost equal to purchasing a replacement TV. Please take a few moments to rate my response. Thank you..

ZENITH D52WLCD

I just found the solution on another model of Zenith TV. Hold the enter button down on the TV and the MUTE button on the remote. In approx. 5-7 seconds a screen will pop up asking if you want to reset the lamp timer. Hit the bullseye button in the middle of the arrows and it will reset. Worked perfectly.

Zenith M52W56LCD blue spot in center of screen

It could be as simple as dust contamination in the LE or lcd chip. You need a clean room to work on this area of the unit and NOTHING you can do there would make that possible, short of spending a few thousand to build one. Before we added a clean room enviroment we simply pulled the LE and sent it in to PTS - who has one and reinstalled...
In your case take it to a qualified shop and you'll save yourself a lot of grief..
