    Nothing happening at all with my printer only backup copies!! Tried everything - new ink jets, cleaning heads etc. Please can you help?

Reset your counter back to zero. But for some you must also check the waste bin status. Need disassembling this is to ensure ink will not overflow from your printer.

It seems that the waste pad inside the printer needs to be replaced. And only a qualified service tech from epson can do it. Alternatively you can reset the counter for waste pad protection, meaning it will still work but the waste pad would still be needed to be replaced since it might be the end of it's capacity.

Green and red lights flashing alternatively - printer not working
This message refers to the waste ink pad in the printer, when this is'full' this message appears, You can reset this yourself by downloadingthe right software which you can download from here:

I have also checked the C48 is supported, if you do this you may want to consider changing the ink pad or get a waste ink tank.

Even after cleaning the waest ink pads out.
You may need a program to reset the counter to do this it called SSC this program will do for yours and many more you can download it from here.

Epson c48 printer fault:- 'Parts inside have reached end of service life' - Epson website advises that the ink pads require changing. I removed and thoughlty cleaned all pads but printer still flashes the...
Take the printer to a qualified technician, to reset the "chip" that records the %-full of the ink-pad absorber.

THE GREEN AND RED LIGHT KEEPS FLASHING ON MY EPSON C48
The C48 firmware counts the number f dribbles sent to a waste ink area somewhere in the printer. The printer dribbles every time it’s powered up and when the heads are cleaned. When the counter reaches 8300 the printer stops working.
A utility at http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml will reset the ink counter to zero. Cycle the printer power that’s it! easy peasy. Take care though.. the ink thingy might overflow onto the carpet one day…..
NB. I don’t think that this utility runs under Vista.

My cartridge holder is stuck and I cant turn the printer on without it going crazy. Is there a way to fix this myself? Hi, I've had my printer for while and I've always had a problem with the print head ever since I got it but when I've went to change the ink cartridges completely the thing that I put the ink in wouldn't budge. When I finally managed to get it to move it went straight back in but not completely and started trying to force itself in but it wont go back properly and it makes a funny 'tk tk tk' noise. The green power light then went off but the red light for a change of ink stayed on, I pressed the green button and it turned off the whole printer but when I turned the printer on again the same thing happened even though I didn't touch the red button. Before that it wasn't printing properly at all, there were gaps in my prints and the alignment is all off. I don't know what's happened at all to it as it was working perfectly fine an hour ago. Please help :(
