The Red Light problem on the PlayStation 3 appears to be a wide spread issue affecting countless PlayStation 3 users. Many users are puzzled as to why this problem struck them; many are dedicated Sony users and didn't believe their PlayStation 3 could be struck down with the PlayStation 3 Red Light problem. It is hard to say what causes the PlayStation 3 Red Light, however we can provide you with some tips that could get rid of the Red Light problem:
Check if there's a loose cable. If not, restart your console.
Unplug all cables except the power cord, and plug them back in.
If that didn't work, then try to take out the hard-drive, and put it back in.
I had this problem a while back, turned out it was a loose connection to my router. This is also displayed when the broadband connection is down. Normally if you give it a while it will work, if not try resetting your broadband and router by unplugging them from the mains for 5 mins.
Can you provide more information? The Verizon Wireless broadband access is for your laptop only. In order for the PS3 to take advantage of it, you'll have to setup Internet Connection Sharing on your laptop. That way your PS3 can connect to your laptop via your laptop's wireless connection (in Ad Hoc mode since you don't have a wifi network) and access the internet via the VzW Broadband Access.
Dial up is NOT recommended. I honestly do not think it would even work. DSL and broadband work great. If you get DSL or broadband you would need your original ethernet cord and hook up the PS3 from your router. If you go wireless then you would need a wireless router.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
Im very possitive you cant do that the ones you can do it with normal wireless broadband boxes (wi fi) you can use this wireless by going to your network settings and put wireless (also wired you choice) and then it will tell you to fill some things out with the internet cable with a wireless broadband you can wire it but the connection is better but that depends on how or were u use it wireless is still very very good for more questions (DGKME@yahoo.com) also myspace.
