My Rosetta Stone version 3 stopped working and keeps showing application error 2123. I have turned off my Norton, but I can't get it to work. Please help. It was working, then I had to re-register it, then it stopped.

Set the Rosetta Stone compatibility mode. 1.Right click the Rosetta Stone desktop icon or Start -> All programs -> Rosetta Stone. 2.Select Properties from the list. 3.Select the Compatibility tab. 4.Check the Run this program in compatibility mode box. 5.In the list below the check box, select the OS (in my case, Windows 7). 6.Click OK.
Hi! The problem it was generated by the ANTIVIRUS because it doesn't recognize the application. You can fix it like this: # open ANTIVIRUS > SETTINGS > EXPERT MODE (if have) or ADVANCED SETTINGS # go on EXCLUSIONS and choose ADD or the + sign (I don't know what antivirus do you have installed on your machine, if it is a Windows or a Mac...) # once the BROWSING BAR is on (to choose the EXCLUSION) go C:\Program Files\Rosetta Stone\Rosetta Stone Version 3 and choose RosettaStoneVersion3 file # hit OPEN > OK.

Error 2123 should be gone, but now there will be Error 2125. So, in the Rosetta Stone install directory, run the "service_installer" .exe file by double-clicking it.

You may get this problem if you have BitDefender Internet Security. To fix it:
Open BitDefender, click Settings, set UI to Expert Mode. Click OK.
Select Antivirus, Advanced Settings then under Exclusions click [+] symbol, a browser opens, go to the following; C:\Program Files\Rosetta Stone\Rosetta Stone Version 3 and select the RosettaStoneVersion3 file, click OPEN. Then OK. Sorted.
