Water doesn't evaporate

It sounds like it is simply in need of a new gear box. ( The thing that turns the drum.) check out www.ventahumidifiers and use thier online tech support toll to see. They also sell parts and reconditioned venta airwashers.

the problem is with the pump

try opening the humidifier and removing the hose clear the hose out...check all connections to the pump and see if the pad becomes wet.... the humidifier should still evap even if the room is humid.... let me know if i can do anything else.... feel free to e-mail me at fixya@whypayforhelp.org
