Water doesn't evaporate

The motor and fan operate, but the water doesn't evaporate out of the basin. I KNOW my apartment is dry. In the past, I refilled my Venta every other day.

It sounds like it is simply in need of a new gear box. ( The thing that turns the drum.) check out www.ventahumidifiers and use thier online tech support toll to see. They also sell parts and reconditioned venta airwashers.

GE Adora microwave worked 20 minutes ago. Now, totally dead. The lights, fans, turntable motor, microwave cooking elements, nothing.. works. AC power to the outlet is just fine.

Sometimes if a lot of steam has been produced while cooking, water may collect under the turntable plate and run down the spindle into the turntable motor. This can short circuit the motor and it will take the fuse out with it.
The fuse is usually housed in a plastic tubular case about 2inches long. Split the tube apart and replace the fuse if necessary (it's something silly like about 7000 volts). Switch on and check to see if anything else is not working like the turntable, lights, or fan etc and replace as necessary.

Tip

Your vacuum cleaner doesn't suck much?

You have emptied the dust canister for many times. You hear the motor running, but it doesn't pick up much. Your vacuum cleaner is still OK...
If the motor was not running at the beginning, I suggest you read some other Fixya troubleshooting tip.
Now it's just TIME to replace these filters.
They come in set of 2, a first one has a cylinder shape and a second one is flat.

I recommend as a good consumer, you to first order a new set, cause this cleaning process may be spread over few days. Unless you wish not vacuum for a while...
After replacing with the new one under the cannister, here is how you RECYCLE the old one.

Important Safety Rules First:
  1. This procedure should be done only outside of your home. Stay away from all clean surfaces as hanging bed sheets, rugs, clothing, and open windows : cause one wind drought may give you more work to do ;-( !
  2. Always wear a safety mask, for obvious reasons: since we don't know what's in there: breathing any dust is very hazardous to your health. Better be safe than... sorry :-(
  3. You should wear rubber gloves and old clothes. Why would you get your hands or your clothes dirty?
Brush out all you can off the cylinder and the flat filter with a cleanup brush or disposable rag.
Soak the used vacuum filters in a disposable container (yogurt or ice cream) ;-) filled with soapy water (1tb spoon dishsoap in 1/2 quart or liter of water). Soak for 10min. Rince once. Refill again with soapy water and let it soak overnight.
Rince it now with clear wather. Looking through it you shall see most of the dust should be gone.
Do not replace these wet filters the same day in your vacuum cleaner because it would obviously damage it's motor. Why do you have to hurry for?

Let it DRY in a warm place or in direct sun for another day! Store it until you are ready to replace it again.
Your have RECYCLED once more! You may do it as a few more times as long as it doesn't affect the performance of your vacuum cleaner.
This process could be applied to many more vacuum cleaners and some household items we normally throw away.

Pure pro fan motor

compressed air , you might try bringing it to a electric motor repair shop or a auto shop and ask real nice if they would be nice enough to give your fan a shot of air. a weed blower will work also but not even close to the job of compressed air. last resort is to take it apart totaly and use soapy water and a scrub brush. do not get the motor wet ! and oil the bearings on the motor with zoom spout oil #D01.. and you can milk your favorite fan out for many, many years .. this way is like cheating death! ... jay the pool pump motor repair guy in longwood fl

Is rainmate good for sinus problems

If you are having issues associated with dry sinus, and it is cold where you are located (with heating unit running), then yes, a humidifier will increase the relative humidity of the air and possibly decrease the issues you have with dry sinus, regardless of manufacturer.
You need to look for a humidifier that provides for a decent humidification rate, in terms of gallons per hour. The higher, the better. And, with that, you want a decent water tank storage amount, or you will be refilling all the time (the smaller the tank, the more often you have to refill.).
Also look for a humidity control, but don't pay a lot for it. The more humid the air, the harder it is for more water to evaporate into it. You would really like around 50%-60% RH in your home.

My Apline Living Air does not create any ozone. The fan runs but the green light only turned on once.

Are the plates cleaned? They should be cleaned once a month by soaking in 1 part amonia and 1 part water for 10 minutes. Scrub with a toothbrush and rinse throughly with water. Allow the plate to dry overnight or use a hair dryer to dry throughly. Hope this helps.

How much water to put in rainbow rainbow and should it blow out air

Fill the water in the basin to the top of the peg in the middle of the basin. (a little over an inch in the 2 quart basin) The Rainbow blows out air just like any other vacuum cleaner does throught the exhaust port. It will blow out there while the vacuum is running if the exhaust port cover is missing. Otherwise, with cover in place, it will blow out air all around the mid section of the canister while it is running.

Hey im a dealer for Rainbow. RockyNR1 is correct but let me just add that you can fill it to over the line if you want as long as the 'misting' still happens, be careful that the bowl is not near the edge of the surface as the spinning water might make it fall off the side. How long the water lasts is also very dependent on how large the room is that its in. Lastly you should be able to leave it run for 24/7

The collection grid sparks after being cleaned

Hi there,

I know you are probably getting frustrated by now. A little more patience please.

Now this is going to sound off the wall, but it will tell you whether or not water it the cause of the problem. I've had success doing this on many types of equipment and flooding.

Freeze it. Put it in the freezer, along with a fresh ice tray. when the ice tray is frozen, pull the unit and try it.

If it still exhibits the same symptoms, water is not causing it.

If the problem disappears, it still needs some drying time.

Comment me back after the freeze.
Thanks for being so patient
Mike
