- Plug it into your computer's usb port.
- Wait until your computer recognizes the device. When you hear it make a sound after the device is plugged in, you turn the switch to the "ON" position and just leave it there.
- Every now and then, shut it off and unplug it, and then repeat steps 1 and 2. I have found that after a while, the device stops charging on its own (which drains the battery without you knowing it) and then when you go to use it, you can't because of a dead battery even though it was plugged in. Like I said, the best way to get around this problem is to unplug the and then plug it back in every 30 mins or so to keep it charging. A good way to know if your MP3 player is still connected and charging is to add tracks to it. If the download bar stops moving forward, then that means your device is no longer connected and charging. It also means that you will have to replace the file that you tried to put in the player.
