It may be ovorheating, how often does it restart and under what conditions/loads? You may want to change your bios settings to the defaults and see if it helps, though you may have to reconfigure some settings there if it does work, also you may have a thermal readout in bios, you can check to see if it is too hot with this if you have it. Also you may want to try removing any extra ram you have installed, as it will lower the processor speed and in turn the heat generated. Be sure to also make sure your processor fan and heatsink are free of dust, this can make a huge difference.

Windows 7 can not be installed on my drive after i formatted it,, it says "S.M.A.R.T staus: BAD". do i have to replace my hardisk? or are there any solution for this problem,, please help,,,

You have the S.M.A.R.T. virus infestation. There is nothing wrong with your hard drive.

You can try to remove the infestation yourself by following the steps below or as I recommend to most everyone who gets this particular virus. Bring it to a pc shop that specializes in virus removal for a set price. I strongly recommend bringing it to a expert because this is a very tough infestation to remove. If you try and remove it yourself you are very unlikely to remove all of the virus infestation and might not be able to recover any missing program Icons that have already disappeared.

If you feel lucky then here you go:

Start your PC and press F8 several times until the boot menu comes up. Then select "Safe Mode with Networking". Now get some or ALL of the FREE programs below.

Download, Install and Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

I have a D865perl MB some times for no reason my computer shuts down. It is a pain to restart, i have to turn it on and off atleast 20 times

Hi,
That looks a hardisk failure.
Set the BiOS to "max. default operation", save upon exit. If you still got the same problem replace the HARDiSK.
Try to replace the hardisk and install your favorite OS.

Hope that helps!

I have an ide hardisk and it has an XP operating system but when i used it my new asus board the hardisk is detected but it cannot load the windows and its just always keep on restarting. does my 512 ddr2...

If you are attempting to boot from a hard disk that was from another computer you will have problems because of architectural differences. You would need to place it into an identical pc build. You can install a new operating system then read the disk as an external or secondary drive, or do a new install from CD onto the same disk.

The computer locks up when I an runing 2 or more programs. I have replaced the memory and reinstalled operating system. I also reformated my hard drive.

Make sure you have enough Ram. Then check for viruses.

This actually sound like the Rogue Virus. This Virus normally corrupts your computer. You probably will need to do a Reformat. Be sure and do a Back-up First., because you will loose everything.

If you know how to do a back-up, save all your documents, pictures and music. If not take it to a reputable computer shop to take of this. There will be a slight charge, but they will save all your important data.

Dude, CPU never gets affected by virus. The issue seems to be with something else. Try disassembling the board and then reassemble it. You may also format the harddisk and reinstall windows.
