I have the dual amp xpa 2500 and i ran all the wires and everything but the indicator light wont turn red nor green what can cause that problem?

Check all the wiring again. If you can use a multimeter, make sure your power wire is getting power at the amp. Also, check to make sure your ground is good. Also, check the remote wire for 0.5 amps when the radio is on. This will make sure it sends the signal to turn the amp on. Also, check all your fuses. Make sure to put the fuse in your power wire. Hope this helps.

I have one wired connected to the ignition on to main power and it says i need to connect one to car power supply, where do i hook that one up to ???

Are you installing a speaker box and amplifier? Your ignition wire on your speaker box or amplifier should go to the ignition wire on your radio. That turns the system on when the radio is turned on. The main power wire should be ran using 8 gauge or lower wire with a 30 amp fuseable link and connect directly to your battery

2003 ford explorer, no dash lights, no power windows, no guage readings, no radio. fuses seem good

look in the power distribution box under the bonnet ,their are some big 60+ amp fuses in their doubt if any blown but a dirty connection is a high probability

My coil does not have any power going to it. what supplies the coil its power ive checked all the fueses and they are good. i ran a hot wire and it fired right up.

The coil is powered directly from the ignition(no fuses) on the pink wire. Perhaps you have a security system installed that is interrupting the circuit. It may also be that the wire itself is broken.

My 06 nissan sentra car cranks but doesnt start.. I sometimes hear hummin but not anymore. What sould i do.

A >> AIR
The sound you hear (assuming it's when you turn the key to start) is your fuel pump working. Assume for the moment you are getting fuel. Air is generally not a problem in newer cars but check all of your air hose connections just the same and check for broken or cracked air hoses. probably the issue (probably the coil packs). You will need someone to help you check for spark. This is a decent video to help you quickly check for spark. He doesn't actually do it but he shows you what I mean. Pull off a plug wire from a plug (twisting the wire boot first). You just stick the screwdriver into the plugwire boot. hold the screw driver about 1/8 inch from a clean metal part of the engine. Have someone try to start th vehicle if you see a spark you're getting fire. If not then you have found your problem (oh yes..wear gloves). Your car will not have a distributor like his but will have coil packs. You can still get some good tips from this video on diagnosing starting problems. My guess is either coil packs are bad or the ignition coil is bad. Opt for the plug wire tester he shows in the video if you can afford it. Much safer and easier to see.

Remove a spark plug wire and insert a small screw driver into the wire.(SEE WARNINGS) Be careful as you don't want to get shocked with 60,000volts. Hold the wire so that the screw driver is 1/8" away from the engine. Have someone crank the engine and watch for a good white spark. hold the plastic end of the screwdriver and wear gloves also do not hold the wire itself during testing.
If you have a spark then move back up the list to check other problems.
Hope this will get you started...good luck

I got a 4 gauge power wire w a 20 amp fuse hooked up to a kenwood stereo/bridgeable amp 350 watts max power model #kac~6295 it just dnt sound rite any sugestions?

make sure you run your power and ground wires opposite of the rca/speaker wires. you tend to pick up alternator noise when all wires are bunched up together. Also, make sure you have a good chasis ground to the amp, and the stereo has also a good ground. good luck

95 nissan maxima. won't start or even turn over. has full battery power to everything. Even tried jumping. has 190k on it. my guess is starter. any way to diagnose or know for sure before I replace the...

Find the starter loctation. On top of the transmission. There should be a decent sized red wire and a smaller black wire i beleive. Anyway the smaller wire gets power from the ignition switch. Take a test light and while someone its turning the key to start it the test light should light up when touching the smaller wire on the starter. If you are not getting power to that wire it could be a broken wire or your ignition switch. If you are getting power then try tapping on the starter with a screwdriver or hammer. Lightly not to hard. It might start but either way you will need a new starter. Hope this helped
