It sounds to me like the park button is stuck. Try pressing it a few times to see if it will come unstuck. If that doesn't work try unprogramming the function for that button. (see manual)

I can't get my phone off park

Perhaps by "park" you mean to say "on hold" ??

The NEC Model DTP16 HC User's Manual is
available at www.manualslib.com and reveals

"Press flashing [LINE] key to continue call"
at the base station or " Press [TALK] "

It also says that after a preprogrammed time, a held-call will come off of "HOLD"... Good luck!

Two things can cause this.
If you swap out a phone for a different model, then it will default the key programming.
If the database battery in the phone system is dead, then it will lose all programming when it loses power.
If the only problem is with your park buttons, it's an easy fix though. Just reprogram them like so.
speed speed
hit the button you want to program.
Dial the park location that you want to put on the button. (430 - 437)

My Transfer and Park buttons are not working - on my M7324 phone. They used to.

You need to reprogram the features to buttons. Try this:
Press "Feature*3", then press the button to be programmed, and enter the associated feature code (below).
Transfer - Feature 70
Call Park - Feature 74

Good Luck!

Call Park Issues..

Well to place a call on Park:
-> you should answer the call -or- be on a call
-> press FEATURE 7 4
-> then look at the display as it will give you a park number
Anyone can pick up a phone now, then dial that park number which you've seen - to answer the call.

To Transfer:
-> you should answer the call -or- be on a call
-> press FEATURE 7 0
-> then dial the extension you want to transfer to...
Now you can either stay on the line to tell the person who you are transferring and then hang up the phone -or- just hang up after dialling the extension to complete the transfer.

Display contrast - too dark

You should be able to adjust LCD contrast when phone is idle, just use the up/down arrow button to adjust it (don't go off-hook). If you have background music set, the above procedure will adjust the music volume instead. You can turn Background music on and off by pressing <Feature>,2,6 when your phone is idle. Alternatively, you may press <Speaker> 6,0,2 and then use the UP/Down arrow key to adjust LCD contrast.

Night Service Button

Sounds to me like "inspect" might be the button programmed on the phone. IF the button is labeled "night" then you can reprogram the button.

press "SPKR # 0 0"
Press the button labeled "Night"
Press "* 3 9"

Then press the "home" or "exit" button.

See if that works...

Music playing

If your phone does not have a dedicated Music button it is usually the HOLD button. Try the hold button first (with the phone hung up) if that does not work look for a button labeled music or possibly a soft key (key's labeled by an LCD display)

Norstar 7310 won't park calls

Are you using the feature code to park the calls or a PARK button? If you are using a button, check its real designation by pressing FTR *0, then press the button marked PARK. The display will show you what it is programmed as. To reprogram it, press FTR *3, press the PARK button, then press FTR 74. That button will then be PARK. You should always be able to do it manually by pressing FTR 74 while on a call to park it.
