Question about Brother MFC 5100c InkJet Printer
My Brother MFC 5100C is making white lines when I print. I've changed the ink cartridges a few times, but still same result. Do I need to call a service technicien to clean?
The printhead is probably clogged. You may be able to clean it, by removing the mechanism and soaking the actaul printhead in a solution of white vinegard or you may have to replace the printhead. A web search may result in instructions on how to remove the head. Prinheads appear to still be available via Ebay and others. They run about $60-70 and if you have a bit of tech abilities, replacment should be relatively easy to do yourself. Not sure about finding a repair center that will do it for you or what the associated cost would be..
