There are concrete or other material weights at the bottom of the machine. One of them could be cracked and moving around.

The bearings could be going. If this is the case, then take off the back cover of the machine and try moving the drum up and down with nothing in it.
If there is movement, you have loose bearings.
You may also have a problem with the drums suspension system.
The only way to know is to look inside.

Amana washing machine banging

Since this is a brand new washer I would recommend that you MUST get free warranty support before you even try to do a do it yourself job.
Please Call up support, possible that the suspension or the dampers or the bearing/motor support has failed and if so you must get free replacement.

Below is a link to common solutions that will help you with parts and diagnostic procedures that are specifically tuned to your manufacturers data plate information.
It provides exploded view imagery, belt routing diagrams, parts imagery and function, parts ordering and shipping information, error code details, just about anything you need to get your appliance up and running again.

A belt may be broken. Many washing machines have one or two belts. If a belt is broken or badly worn, you need to replace it with a genuine belt from the manufacturer. (Some washing machine belts are designed with special characteristics not found in automotive belts.) "Soot" is actually belt dust from slippage and wearing out of belt(s). This can cause noise as it wears down. You could also have a foreign item stuck in the pump, although this could create a drain or spin issue.
