Cannot get sound on any outlet port

Download and install Media Player Classic and use it.Are you using onboard audio or an add-on card? Make sure that the BIOS is set for one or the other (in other words, the internal audio disabled when using an add-on card), and installing the latest drivers for all.

My computer cant find the audio driver for my emachine 5250 where can i find it

try installing the Microsoft UAA HD Audio update, known as KB888111. I'm assuming you're using Windows XP. If not using XP, then DO NOT install this update, and provide the Everest report. You can download the KB888111 installer from ftp://ftp.microsoft.com.ar/so/KB888111/eng/kb888111xpsp2.exe
Some other below:: Here's the direct download link for the RealTek audio driver: (33MB)
http://downloads.emachines.com/drive...56-001-002.exe

If you have Sigmatel audio: (23.xMB)
http://downloads.emachines.com/drive...43-001-001.exe

I'd also grab the chipset drivers. Here's the drivers download page for all other (stock) hardware:

Install KB888111 (download from MS) then install audio driver.
Can you use system restore?
You can download XP, but it will be no good unless you have a non-OEM product key as it won;t activate. Contact manufacturer for an XP CD.

download them onto a location; if the driver is in a zip format, unzip it,if itz in .exe form, just run it; if done manually it'll ask for the correct driver and location; relocate the path and a .inf file (wat it'll ask for)....goto the device manager n verify, if installed properly..!!

GATEWAY PROBLEMS

Yeah, post the model number. You can find this by downloading Belarc Advisor and running it, and it'll tell you in the first line under System Model.
You'll need the UAA driver and the audio driver..

No audio after reformating

Hi,
If there are no problems in device manager like a yellow question mark or exclamation mark on the devices, that means the other drivers are installed properly. Try to check if the speakers are ok as well. Try the speakers on another pc or device and check if it's working there just to eliminate the speakers as one of the problems.

Do you have an integrated audio?

If you now the brand of your motherboard, visit their website. It should contain the drivers needed.
# Or, I recommend Driver Genius. A application which can backup all (or some) of your drivers, and it also holds the feature of scanning your computer and check for newer and updated drivers, which it also may download for you :)
