Question about Pioneer PRO-200 60" Rear Projection Television

Pioneer Pro-118 won't turn on

I have a Pioneer Elite Pro-118 sans remote, and there are no techs within 50 miles of me.  Problem: won't turn on: A red led lights for the 'main Power' button,  but pushing the 'standby/on' button makes the MP button go green, but them pop off as if a circuit blew. I can then push the MP button twice to start over, but same thing happens. Any thoughts on which switch might be bad, and where I could order one? thanks rp

ctf 1800: can you explain your question/comment "does this set have the st'sk in them that and check the horz output transistor"?

I am having the same problem. In stand by you use the remote to start the set. The light goes green and then goes off in about 3 seconds. If you turn the power completely off and leave it off for a couple of hours you can turn it on and it will work. It may work 15 minute, it may work for hours. The set is 13 years old. Is it worth fixing?

We are having the same shutting off issue with the Pioneer Pro-118. It is very frustrating. We have taken off the back, moved it away from the wall, etc., etc. One day it can run all day long and the next it won't even power up. This is very frustrating and we are not electronics inclined and not sure if it is worth paying to have it fixed. Help please!

Take off back cover. The problem power board is to the right of the board where the power plug feeds into the TV. There is a large white fuse right bend the power plug. With a meter it read ok; about 8 inches deeper into the TV on that board was the resister next to two fuses. My 4 amp 125 volt fuse did not read on my meter. After replacing, it worked fine. Check all three fuses while you're in there.

My Pioneer Elite PRO-111FD just shut off on it's own, and now won't turn back on. No green or red indicator light... nothing. Any suggestions?

Check your power source (electrical outlet) and the power cable. If electrical outlet is ok, try using a different power cable (the cable that you plug on to the electrical outlet going to your TV set). If everything is ok but still no indicator light, call your technician there might be a problem with the TV power supply.

We are having the same problem of the Pioneer Elite Pro-99 turning itself off all of a sudden. The red 'non' power button comes on as if we had turned it off remotely.

This a factory issue and usually requires service. Most cases it is a bad power supply caused by a surge or powering off and on too fast ... sorry I wish I had better news
