Question about Zenith D52WLCD 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I was given the TV, and Yesterday was the first time to clean the mirror, and red, blue and green lights, plus adjustment. Picture is great. The only problem I have is when you turn on the TV sometimes there is a offset blue color. to the right, predominant about 6". If I turn the TV on and off sometimes allot, sometimes just a few. it comes back to alignment. What could be the resolution?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

You have a problem MOST LIKLY!!, that happens to almost if, not to all projection tube sets ever made. Its the old bad convergence IC falure. It's not something you can do unless you have had exstensive electronic training and soldering skills. There are no user replaceable parts inside of this set so please call out a pro to repalce the convergence IC for yop! A repair such as this should cost around 250 to 400 bucks, depending where you live..Good Luck

IS the screen white retrace lines ? Have you looked into the CRT lenses while they are on with a signal applied through the input to see if an image is displayed in the lens lens of the crt? Let me know what the answer is to these two questions and we will go to the next level.

It sounds like your looking for a CRT (red) the part # is on the CRT and could be puchased through any Zenith (LG) distributer- usually around $300- $500. Google the part # when you get it and you may find a used Picture Tube (CRT)for cheaper.

SOURCE: blue spot on tv screen
Better yet watch it till it completely dies and then pitch it! It costs more to replace the light engine than it would to buy a new tv....I will be putting on in the layaway soon!
