I had the same issue. I also noticed a different sound when it was turned on. I checked over it and noticed the red float door has a small screen which was clogged. I removed the block and its working again...hope this helps someone =)

Not sucking up the water

Look at the pickup nozzle to see if it's plugged up. There is a flapper valve that closes when the tank has too much water in it. Make sure it opens after you dump the water out.

Not sucking up the dirty water or it's sucking up water but it's not filling the recovery tank. I've tried reattaching the lid of the recovery tank and it doesn't look like it is sitting quite right.

This is one possibility. other things to look are the screen filter on the machine. intake hose behind the motor. ensure that accessory hose cover is closed when extracting water from the floor.

its supposed to, it means you need to dump out the tank. Its a safety feature that keeps the water out of the motor. if its lifting up due to foaming, than try using the original brand shampoo

Cleaner not sucking up dirty water.

try stripping it down and cleaning all parts and filters .some cleaners use a safety 'ball' to stop water getting on the motor is this stuck it should slide up and down a small track in a tube..good luck hope this helps farr64.
