Question about Norelco Advantage 6705 X Electric Shaver

1 Answer

Won't charge up, won't run

I think I have destroyed the charging circuit in the razor. I pushed the on-off button while the razor was charging in its charger. The razor is now dead and will not charge.

The charger shows an AC output of +/- 10 VAC under no load, so I assume it to be OK.

I plan to connect two AA's to the motor to see if it is still OK.

Are charging circuits available for this razor?
TIA,
Bill Edwards

U sure? The input connections on the circuit board located under the batteries in the razor feeds what looks like a small full wave bridge rectifier. This also appears to be short circuited.

Since all the devices on the circuit board are epoxy covered, it is hard to tell what anything is and the charger itself is a small black epoxied cube. That's why I asked if the circuit board was available.

The motor is fine and runs OK on a couple of AA's.

Razor electric scooter e 300 battery charges but won't run

first check to ensure the batter has held the charge you put into it. Just plugging the charger in does not mean the battery is holding the charge. If the battery is bad, it will drain as fast as you put it in. if the batter holds a charge, should be able to disconnect the charger and battery will show charge. if so, you have a bad connection or motor.

Lens is not all the way extended, so you can not turn it on. the defect maybe fixed buy pushing on the power button and pull the lens out gently by wiggling the lens? It may all be futile. Buy a new camera.

I reinstalled XP on IBM T41, now battery won't charge. Could this be Driver Problem

Sounds like you need a new battery.
It's not just a battery in a case, it also has a small circuit board inside to control the charging etc, if that's faulty it won't charge, or if it has dead cells in it won't charge.
