Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
Hi..have a new whirlpool duet sport front loader..but when it spins..vibrates a LOT...and even walks....
had a service repair company out twice...replaced the pedistal...but did not help...
can I put something under it...ie rubber supports under the feet?
or some other solution..?
thanks in advance DON
I just bought this washer and had two problems with it. 1 the vibration at medium spins and 2. a squeeking spring (every time the drum rotates a little squeek, but when spinning the squeek sounds constant.
What I discover in solving both my problems with the same solution. I had to ensure all 4 feet well on the ground and that the top of the washer was perfectly level. At one time I was out only about 2 mm on one side, but the bubble was slightly to one side on the level but still in between the level's markers. I tested with a load, and both problems were still there. Turn feet 1/2 turn on the side needing adjusting. Ran another load and you guessed it, no squeak, no vibration, spinning was quiet, I had to go over to check to see if the machine was going through the cycles. I couldn't believe that a few millimeters could make such a difference.
Now I am pleased with the performance, not to mention how clean the clothes are and the savings on water and drying.

I had this issue, it would rock 3-4 inches on each side,
Make sure that the feet on your washer are as close as possible top the base, and ensure that it is level.
I had my feet extended almost full on a couple corners, this unbalanced the machine causing it to rock, also, make sure that it is on solid ground, no carpet or pads, other than those on the feet.
Happy new year...

No soft things under it!
You need a solid floor to place it on, otherwise you will forever have that problem.
Were the shipping supports all removed?
I know of someone who had this problem and the shaking was real bad.
There are bolts and foam padding usually for shipping.
Also, leveling and making sure the machines 4 feet are planted solidly on the floor. If one of them is not making contact with the floor, it will rock and move.
