SONY DVD RW AWQ170A

I'VE RECENTLY BOUGHT THIS DRIVE BUT IT DOESN'T READ ANY DVDs, COMMERCIAL OR RECORDED. IS THERE ANY SOFTWARE THAT MUST BE INSTALLED FIRST?

I've installed the Nero 8 and still the drive doesn't read any DVDs. I guess the solution could be appropriate for the drive indicated by "chie-chie" (16X DVD+/-RW Dual Layer OEM Black with NTI Recording Software (DWQ28ABK) DVD Drive) but not for my drive SONY DVD RW AWQ170A.

Wizyes you can use nero 7 or cyberlink power dvd this software allow you to watch dvd movies. window media player doesnt play dvd without this softwares..
