Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 (not FI) funky sound after shut down

Hi, Yes it is an electric fuel pump and the ticking is the pump working. So if you hear the ticking your pump should be OK. After turning off the petcock and running the carbs dry the next time you turn it back on you should leave the kill switch on and turn the key on and wait till the ticking stops, turn the key off and back on and wait for the ticking to stop again. You should do this a couple of times to make sure the system fills. Normally you should always use your kill switch to turn off your engine. Also under normal conditions you will not hear the ticking as it only ticks a couple of times to fill the system once it is full. Good Luck to you, This should Fixya!

Ice maker "ticking" sound?

Mine started doing the same thing. The problem with mine was that the part that spins around to eject the ice is hung up... first, it was trapping an ice cube in it... I cleared the cube and it stopped making noise for a while, then a cube hung up again. Now I found that one of the 'teeth,' all the way to the right, was stuck under the housing... the part is bent, and needs to be replaced.

Check the part that spins to make sure nothing is stuck. Service is expected in home soon (I hope).

No pic no sound just ticking

This set normally has problems in the horizontal and high voltage circuit. The horizontal output will short out and I often change the high voltage transformer. The high voltage splitter is another one of the usual suspects. Since it's ticking at plug in, then, I would look at the secondary of the high voltage transformer or the regulator circuit. Checking the the horizontal output first for a short and if ok, checking the B+ voltage on the collector would be my next step. That should give a good thought as which direction to go. Hope this helps.

TV starts but Does Not show picture or no sound

The Tic Tic sound is a result of the high voltage shutdown circuit. Thats what the circuit does if theres a short in the Highvoltage sweep. like maybe a shorted horizontal output transistor??. The only way to really tell is go in and measure the start up voltage and if the Hivoltage comes up and shuts down its a fault in the shutdown or Hhv regulation circuit . if it dosent come up at all then the faults in the Horizontal sweep circuit . Hope this explains a bit? good luck
