To change the paper pickup roller in the cassette. Remove the paper cassette completely and look for the rollers and squeeze the end tabs at the end if the roller and pull. When replacing them just slide in the new roller and squeeze the tabs and line up the key on the roller shaft and carefull push in.

To change the document feeder will require more skill. first lift up the document feeder and carefully push a black plastic linkage limiting the lift of the feeder towards the back of the machine and lift.
Next look at the bottom black plastic feeder you will see 2 screws at the far end. Unscrew and lift up. You will need to remove the e clip from the large pickup roller and rotate a white bushing and push back and lift the roller away. insert the new roller and assemble using the reverse steps.

To change the upper seperation roller. Lift up the keyboard and remove 2 black screws from the bottom and separate it. Remove 4 silver screws holding the roller assembly. Remove 1 silver screw from the copper grounding strap.Remove 2 silver e clips from the balck blue roller and replace. Reassembe in reverse order. The link above getsyou the wrong model. It is in fact a BJC8500 printer.

Would a manual help?

Brother PC 8500 User Manual

Are the feed dogs in the raised position? Is it a regular stitch presser foot or a darning foot? A darning foot is shorter in height so the fabric can be maneuvered without use of the feed dogs. Just some ideas. Could also be an embroidery setting that has not been deactivated.

Xerox phaser 8500 paper jam

Before you clear the paper out, If you press the question mark button (?) it will display the Jam Code which will narrow down what kind of jam you have. You can look it up if you can get access to a service manual.

Oddly, the most common jams aren't caused by rollers and need a DM camshaft 020K14801 changed instead. If you have jams right at the tray then get the roller kit 604K42200 after all.

How do you enlarge copies on the hp 8500 printer

From The HP 8500 Manual

TIP:You can also use Fit to Page to enlarge a small photo to fit within the

printable area of a full-size page. In order to do this without changing the

proportions of the original or cropping the edges, the device might leave an uneven
amount of white space around the edges of the paper.

I am getting white specks on all four colors on my phaser 8500 and some black smudges. I just did a smudge clean and it helped, but it didn't clear it.

Hello.

Try a laser printer roller cleaner (paper sheets), like PathKleen or Perfect Data. You may need to run sheets through several times before the cleaning is complete. Do not use a sheet more than once.

Hope this helps.

When fax, the paper cannot be loaded.

The machine clicks when you plug in the power is the gear porblem, most likely the gear is broken.
the one that does not pickup paper is the roller.
you can change the roller form the licker to this one.

hope that helps.
