The only way to completely power off is to remove from the mains outlet.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can I get a manual for my DVP5140/37

Philips has the documentation for the DVP5140/37 on the product page: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=DVP5140/37&scy=US&slg=en . The direct link to the User Manual is http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/d/dvp5140_37/dvp5140_37_dfu_aen.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Does the player ask for a password?
If it does look in the manual or contact Philips on their website.
This helped me a lot once.
