Hi dnankey
To answer your question;
If your looking for the procedure to get into the service menu, here it is;
With the power off and with the remote
Press in succession info-menu-mute-power
You should now be in service mode and the rest is self-explanatory
Make sure to note any values that you may change.
Have fun

    Hi again

    There will be sub-adjustments for a variety of items that are in your menu,

    But there is no magic button, these adjustment are usually used to correct fault that may occur after parts replacement etc.

    Usually your tv menu by default is preset to operate within the optimal range of adjustment.

    So unless there is a flagrant lack of for example;bright or sharpness you should stick to the standard menu.

    Here is a tip for you;

    When a guy tries to help you for "free" and gives you "free"advices you don`t go and slap him with a bad rating.

    May make it harder in the future to get "free" help from a seasoned tech.

    Have a good day

Samsung SyncMaster BX2450. What are the default settings for Brightness, Contrast & Sharpness?

Hi Peter, you can do a factory reset to get the TV back to factory settings however I doubt that will fix anything, generally a washed out picture is a bad tcon board, main board or the panel itself, if the set has a tcon I'd try replacing that as it's the lowest cost board and generally causes the issues you're seeing.

Tv model UN46B6000

Well yours appears to be a:

Samsung UN46B6000 46-Inch 1080p

And I would suspect the power supply board first.

Starting at $31 on eBay.
SAMSUNG UN46B6000VFXZA UN46B7100WFXZA POWER SUPPLY BN44-00269A. Sorry about the caps and they are part of the hazards of 'cut-n-paste'.

SOME power companies stand good for SOME power surge damage... LIGHTNING is "A Act of God" and not included.

The individual keys on my Yamaha PSR-85 are out of tune with each other. I did a factory reset which helped partially get things together, but individual keys are still not right.

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with your Yamaha PSR-85 keyboard where the individual keys are out of tune with each other. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the settings: Make sure that the keyboard is set to the correct tuning and that any pitch bend or transpose settings are set to the correct values.
  2. Check for damage: Inspect the keyboard for any visible damage or debris that may be causing the keys to be out of tune.
  3. Check for software updates: It's possible that there may be a software update available for the keyboard that could fix any issues you are experiencing. Check the manufacturer's website to see if there are any updates available.
  4. Calibrate the keyboard: Some keyboards have a calibration feature that can be used to fine-tune the tuning of the keys. Check the manual for your keyboard to see if it has this feature and how to use it.

Samsung UN46B6000 LED TV Had it for 15 months - loved it. However, it suddenly displayed all these colored vertical lines on screen. This unit cost more than $2000. The worst part is it is out of...

I have the same exact issue. I had mine for about the same amount of time, i can't believe a $2000+ TV brake that quickly.

Did you ever get it fixed ? If you did, how much did they charge
Thanks !

The TV keeps turning off and on automatically, every 30-45 seconds.

There is over heating problem.Some Ic is over heated due to it self problem or shorted voltage line. Mostly this type problem come with Main board.But it confirm after by checking where is the problem. Quick check is take some of your fan and put on his back side your set will work longer on.

I want to know the ideal picture settings for my samsung tv - (LE32B450C4W). The picture settings seem to need changing depending upon the type of programme i am watching. The TV is HD ready, but I am not...

There are as you know factory presets to choose from in the user menu.. Your eyes will tell you what you like. The only other way to get a killer picture is to have the TV Calibrated by a good ISF Calibrator.
