Insignia ns-lcd15 Hi I have an Insignia tv with power issue. My tv made a crackling sound through the speaker and powered off now it when I press the power switch the green light comes on but no display. i have tried the flash light trick to see if I see an image but there was none when unit was on. I was woundering if this is an inverter board issue or something more serious wrong. I able to repair it but I cannot find any Schematics for this unit. If I had one it will help out a lot. To determine the problem. I was wounder if any had similar problem and if so how and what did they fix to get it working again? Thank You..

The problem i have seen is the main surface mount IC ( the one with the heat sink) runs hot and the connections go bad from expanding. poor design. somtimes pressing down on the heat sink while its on will yield a picture and then goes out.

I have an insignia ns-lcd15 which I purchased about a year and a half ago and suddenly there was no sound. Occasionally, I get a crackeling noise, but nothing else. Any thoughts?

Speakers have a crackle in the sound also rear speakers not working

can mean several things. The crackle is subjective and can mean distortion. Distortion most of the time comes out of the amplifier. Could be you have blown a capacitor in the power supply of the amplifier, making it work with quasi half the voltage. There is no need to change the polarity on a speaker, because when one is not working infuse, it won't distort the music. You only could have difficulty with the stereo sound. It could be a bit unclear where the sound is coming from and could sound a little less powerful.Check the speakers on a different amplifier, to hear if I'm right. Only if you switched on sound while the amp was giving full power, you could have blown the speakers, but most of the time they don't give any noise after that.

Audio crackle from any hdmi device plugged in to EITHER HDMI port

Hi, Sounds like bad HDMI cables. I've had this issue myself and you look at the cable and you can't see anything wrong with it but there is internally. My suggestion is to get a new HDMI cable.

Luckinfutz, My Protron 32in LCD tv speakers crackle and even when the volume is all the way down we get this loud hum for about 5 seconds. I think the speakers are shot and are on their way out. I read...

Yes, changing the audio board might solve your problems. But the loud hum is the generated by either a bad connection (open the case and check all of them) or a bad filtering of the power (check the capacitors on the power board) so try fixing it first.

There is no sound on my insignia flat screen what do I do

Try hooking up the powered PC speakers to the AUDIO Line out RCA jacks to see if you get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp section (make sure to check the on screen sound setup menu that the speakers are not set to OFF), if no sound at the RCA jacks either, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit in the main board.

Sound fluxuates, crackling sound samsungTX-R3079WH sound goes up and down automaticly

If the sound FLUCTUATES up & down, try turning off the AutoVolume in the sound menu. You didn't say if it's one or all speakers crackling. Crackling is either a speaker or circuitry issue. Adjust the balance away from the speaker that crackles, if it stops, that speaker is probably "fried". If it still crackles, I'd turn off the speakers and run the sound thru a stereo for the quick, cheap fix. My Samsung (10+ years old to be fair) crackles due to a circuit issue but if I SMACK the left side speaker (behind which is the sound board and side panel connectors) it stops for a while. Maddening. I think I broke it squeezing it into the furniture it's in, pressing on the protruding RCA plugs. Dumb design.

Snap, crackle sound from Sanyo TV

It sounds to me as if possibly ya Main IC Amp Chip & OR the Output Capacitors are failing... Sometimes it is a sign of a power supply on it's way out... Either way it's time for a repair shop quote. Either that or it may be the speakers crossovers... to check this, if you can, try another set of speaker... see if problem is still there. If it IS, then it IS most probably as I said above.. If NOT then it may be one or both of the "Crossover Network" in each speaker...
