Which # on the bottom of my actiontec is the WEP #?

The WEP encryption key is setup by the user, it is not a fixed key.
Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

Am trying to add kodak wifi printer to my laptop, how do i find wep key and wpa

I was having the same problem with my computer in reference to finding the wep key through the router. My setting were changed on my computer at work and then the computer would no longer work on my home network. I had to find the wep key.
1.) using the internet explorer (not AOl or MSN or..)but the internet explorer that your computer came with.
2.) enter "192.168.1.1" in the website address field. do NOT use www in front.
3.) this will bring you to a linksys website.
4.) click on wireless
5.) then wireless security
6.) then you will see the page with the wep key listed.
7.) use the first wep key listed.

thought this might help you

I have Actiontec gt704wg wireless and am trying to set up my nook. It asks for a password and i dont know it

In order to get the wifi WEP key for your network, turn over the bottom of the modem- the default WEP key is on a sticker-
Bar that, on your pc open up a web browser, type in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar- by default the user name and password are admin and password- go to the wireless tab, and basic security settings- the WEP key would be listed there

What is my WEP key?

open a browser - clear the address bar - type in
192-168.1.1 - then in the password - forget the username unless u set it - in the password type in 'admin' - just admin that's it -
the go to security - - hunt around and you will see your wep numbers - there will be 4 of them most likely - pick one -

Nintendo DS vs. ActionTec GT704WG

Your DS may need another connection that is only blocked with a red lock. (Meaning WEP code locked.) If so, phone a computer tech support to help you set a connection with Wifi (wireless connection) and ask him/ her to set it to WEP code and "blocked". Then ask them to temporarily leave while you set your WEP password. A grey lock means that your DS is not compatible to your access point.

WEP key recovery

WEP is only for wireless connections. Connect to the router using a cable, enter its admin and see/change the key.

WEP key recovery

Connect a computer to the router via Ethernet cable, then you should be able to log into the router to set it up by opening a web browser and putting "http://192.168.1.1/" or "http://192.168.0.1/" (without the quotes) into the address line. The default username and password is usually "admin" and "admin" or username "admin" with no password. From there you should be able to configure the router and retrieve or change the WEP key.

Let us know how you make out.

Secure

Use the WEP encryption in the wireless settings, any computer that wants to connect to your network will have to know that WEP key, without entering it they will see secured network and not be able to access it.
