I have a WP GEW9250 Duet dryer. I need to convert it to vent out the right side. I need to know where I can find the instructions on how to do this...the manual is useless for technical detail!

The installation instruction in the manual is useless...it says to have your installer set it up for you...not easy to do when YOU are the installer. I have found out there is a kit that WP sells...

You dont need a kit, get under ther with an elbow and some solid vent tubes, a little foil tape and your in, should be a prefforated knock-out where it will vent through side,

Not likely such a thing. The funny shape probably has something to do with the air passages.

This video shows how to get into the machine. Your heater slides out and is easy to replace by removing the bottom panel. Looks like this:

May tag it heat up but no air is comming of the hose that leads out side

Your vent is propably restricted with lint. Have entire dryer vent system cleaned. Make sure first that the dryer is blowing ok by taking hose off back of dryer. If air comes out dryer without hose attached but no air out vent when hose is attached then the vent hose or duct work in house is clogged.

Check your exit vent outside of your house... what you can do is remove vent hose on back of your dryer... run dryer and feel the air coming out of the vent right behind your dryer.. now reinstall your vent line and check outside,,, see if you feel the same or about the same air flow... if your air flow is block, then your heat will not come on regularly to dry clothes... good luck

Duet Dryer vent re-routing

Dear sbrown183,
Welcome to fixya,

You asked for the procedure to re-route the vent from the rear to the left side.

Here below are the instruction you requested for venting both the rear and or the sides.
If you follow these manufactures directions and you will be fine

You will find them on pages 11, 12 and 13.
