That requires the fluid being replaced in the Blue tube. I suggest that you have a qualified technician service it.

    You can't, all the fluid will leak out. You have to take the blue tube out, drain the fluid, dismantle the lens' clean the face of the tube and c-element ( lens ) then re-fill the tube, install and then re-converge.

you probably need to clean lens and optics in the light engine.Also if it is a lcd projector inside of the light engine in front of the lcd is a glass color filter one for red ,green,blue they can darken and lose or even change color.I would clean optics and check and clean filters.Or you could replace light engine.

New lamp restored brightness and color levels...but there is a large oval area of green tint on the screen...tv is rather dusty inside...any ideas
did the bulb break or just get dim? if the bulb broke then you might have a piece of glass down in the engine if the bulb just got dim you might just have a piece of dust down in there you really should have atech take alook or you could damage your engine and that would be around 500 dollars

Smells like it is hot or something is burning after changing bulb
Your tv is actually an Air eater. The tv itself needs a complete river of air (it looks as an exageretion) not really. I create this picture in your mind to help you to imagine all care you tv needs.

  1. Turn off the set. allow 20 minutes to cool down the set
  2. move the tv to the front and get access to the back of the tv then with a vacuum cleaner gets all dust out around the set
  3. make sure the air filter (refer to the manual) is clean.
  4. try to make sure the places were the air flows into the tv are clean and free of obstructions (back cover).
  5. finally all you can do outside the tv is done. Then when the tv is back its position make sure it "breathes" confortable. You tv has 3 fans inside (there is not a casualty)
The fresh air that goes into the system gets finally out really hot and smelly but as soon as the air flows thats normal for this tv. this is noticiable specially in hot seasons.

Sony-kp51ws510 picture turns to a blue hue with flickering colors
hello there this is an easy fix unplug the tv and take the back of the set, once inside the set you will see 3 coloured bulbs and a big mirror in the back theses over time get dusty and dirty and if you smoke it can get really bad you simply just need to clean the bulbs and the mirror with computer screen wipes or some sort of window cleaner be sure not to get everything wet inside this should sort if for you nice and clear again!

Yep, your problem is a relatively easy one to repair if you know how to solder. You better repair it before it blows the fuse though. There are two capacitors in the main power supply that are coming loose and need to be re soldered. There is a Toshiba service bulletin about it. They are marked C809 and C810 on the main power supply board. Good Luck

Round shadows in picture
Sounds like the Bulb is almost out of life or a dustball or something is moving around inside the light compartment. Look in the instruction or user manual on replaceing bulb or opening bulb compartment or call Mits. for a service center in your area. Good Luck
