Question about Kenmore 84152 Electric Dryer
The dryer starts out running fine then about 10 minutes into the cycle it makes an annoying squeaking noise. Can anyone tell what might be wrong.
Another thing to check would be the idler pully down near the belt and motor assembly. On some Kenmore's and Whirlpool's, they have installed slider idlers instead of wheel idler pullys. It will look like a half-moon shaped metal part. If you have this, spend the $13 for a roller pully (Part Number 691366
). Do you have a lint filter in the door or on top of the unit? They do have some other parts on the unit with the lint filter in the door. Let me know what model you have, and will get your squeeking stopped.

You can check a lot of things. the motor itself, the rollers on the back, and the main bearing at the center of the drum. you can apply any lubricants to all of those rolling parts.
