If you don't have internet use the disc labeled drivers and utilities it has your audio drivers in that disc.

You need to re-install your audio driver.
It can be downloaded from here
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid&SystemID=PLX_GX520

Just go to the Audio section and download the driver and run the setup.

possibly your windows has become corrupted..try reinstalling it..if your dell came with pre-installed software,then you could use the OS reinstallation cd..note that you may loose all your data since reinstallation will include formating and deleting all your previous data

You need to install also the motherboard driver so that your sound card and video are functioning properly. Load you motherboard CD installer to your CD room drive and install.
