My printer keeps saying that the prinhead is missing and need to be installed, I took it out and installed it again and it keeps saying the same thing

it could be more serious, but I would put in the printhead and then unplug the printer and then wait a few seconds and plug it back in. it might clear the code. otherwise it might be your print head bad.

My kodak esp 7200 series printer keeps saying theres a printhead carriage jam. ive done everything its asked and there not shouldnt be a problem but it keeps stalling up.

Open the printer access door and clear any obstructions. Check that the printhead and ink cartridges are installedcorrectly. (The printhead and ink cartridges are installed correctly when youhear them click into place.)

I have a kadak esp3 aioprinter.It shut off on me when I was printing. At first it wouldn't come back on, so I unplugged it and it came on with an error. It says the printhead is missing or not installed...

may be the Printhead is not installed correctly. make sure that it clicks in to place when you reseat it. go to for demo on how to install it correctly.If this does not solve the issue, call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace the printhead for you free of cost

My printer says it's missing the printhead,just

go to and see how to remove printhead. again install it into the carriage. and then install cartridges .sometimes what happens is printhead gets loose. it will resolve the issue . let me know if it doesnt. tc

Kodak ESP-5 AiO says "0%" ink even after I install new cartridges

Let's clean and align.

Make sure that there are 5 - 10 sheets of plain paper loaded in the paper tray.

2 Press menu to display the main menu.

3 Press down arrow until Maintenance is selected.

4 As needed, press down arrow until the desired option is selected.

5 Press OK.

6 Follow the prompts in the display screen to initiate or cancel the task.

These available maintenance options are shown below:

Check Ink Levels
Nozzle Check
Printhead Alignment
Clean Printhead
Print Demo Sheet
Print Test Page

From windows, : Open the Home Center Help panel by clicking Help on the Home Center window, as needed. Click Maintenance, and then click
Nozzle Check or Printhead Alignment.

Macintosh: Open the Home Center window and click Maintenance, and then click Nozzle Correction or Printhead Alignment.

Should be good now.

Brand new easyshare printer - says that printhead is not aligned

Even though the printer says that you shouldn't return it to the store if you have trouble, I strongly suggest you to do that.
If you don't want to, you can call the Kodak AiO Support so they can help you replacing the printhead or the printer if necesary

Error message: Printhead missing, not installed correctly or has come loose

In regards to the error message with the printhead missing or come loose......I had that issue just shortly after I installed my printer. I was going crazy trying to fix it taking it out and reinstalling which was a pain, removing the cartridges and then the printhead to no avail. Finally I got smart and disconnected the power cord from the printer itself, not directly from the outlet. Once I did that and turned the printer back on the error was gone. It might have been a fluke, but it worked for me, so you might want to try it.

if you have removed and reinserted the printhead alot and this still happens there are 2 possible problems i can think of. 1. your printhead is defective - solution call kodak and see about getting a new one. 2. the contact pins on the actuall printer carriage are bent and the correct contact is not being made. - solution unless you can tell if the pins are bent and straiten them you need a new printer. you have to exchange it for a new one. These kodak AiOs are nice printers, dont let the badluck of getting a defective one turn you against them.
