Are you sure your password was with all lowercase letters? Are you sure that as you type each keystroke registers on the screen? Watch the screen as you type your password slowly and make sure it moves with each keystroke. A bad keyboard will cause a problem with your password. If all the above does not solve it turn off your computer, then turn it on and hit the F8 key repeatedly until you see an option that allows you to log into Safe Mode. Take the Safe Mode Option and when it boots up hopefully and depending on your operating system it will give you a log in for the Administrator and for the user which you forgot the password. Log in as the Administrator and hopefully you have not password protected it. Once you log in successfully go to Start/Control Panel/User Accounts. Once you are in User Accounts, select the user account that you forgot the password for and select the option to Remove Password. Then restart your computer.
DO ONE THING
1.GOTO SAFE MODE...HOW?? PRESS F8 WHILE THE COMPUTER IS RESTARTING JUST BEFORE THE WINDOWS SCREEN APPEARS
2.CHOOSE ADMIN LOG IN
3.THEN GOTO CONTROL PANEL
4.THEN GOTO USER ACCOUNTS
5.THEN CLICK ON REMOVE PASSWORD..HOW?? THERE YOU WILL SEE AN OPTION
SHOWING USER ACCOUNT AND ADMIN ACCOUNT BELOW ...JUST LOOK OUT FOR THE
REMOVE PASSWORD OPTION THERE..
In order to recover your lost password you must go to log in page and look for lost/ or forgot password. Click forgot password, after that the system will guide you into some ways for you to recover your lost password.
Click on the PROBLEM WITH LOG IN? link underneath the LOG IN button.
Select I DON'T KNOW MY PASSWORD from the list and enter the characters shown.
Follow the on screen instructions and you should then receive a reset password in your email account that you signed up to Paypal with. Follow the instructions in that email to regain access to your account.
The first thing you can try to do is login via the main Administrator account....usually there is not a password set on this account and it will allow you to remove the password on the account you forgot the password to.....follow these steps
Using The Admin account:
Shut down the computer
Start the computer
As soon as the computer powers on tap the F8 key on the keyboard
You will see a black screen with white lettering and a bunch of options , selct the top option which says "Safe Mode"
Windows will load (and everything will look huge on the screen but that is ok!). When you get to the "Welcome!" screen you should see the administrator account...click on it to log in
Now you should be in Windows , to remove your password on the account you forgot:
Click the "Start" button
Click "Control Panel"
Double Click on the "User Accounts" Icon
Click on the account you want to remove the password from
Click the link that says "Remove Password"
Restart the computer
Now you should be able to log directly into your account with no password. Once in the accoun tyou can follow the steps above to set a new password , instead of removing password @ step 5, click "Set New Password"
Q: I lost my password! A: You can reset your password manually by going to the main software screen, click on "Lobby" and then on "Login" and then on "Forgot Password". Enter your information and a new password will be emailed via Internet to your registered PokerStars email address. If you do so, and receive an error message, please email support with your full name and address, as well as your PokerStars user ID and we will help you get back in the game.
please elaborate on main password, do you mean windows password?
1) download a password reset disk (I can create one for you and email it) for a small fee.
2) boot laptop, when you see acer power on logo, look on screen for recovery or setup.
Most likely F2, F6, F10, or F12 key.
That will bring you to an Acer recovery menu. You can restore the laptop to factory, however you will lost all your personal data, and will haver the factory loaded software .
