Sony vaio Pcv v300g tv tuner device failed to open
I have the Sony PCV V300G PC/TV tuner. All products including DVD, Media, etc works except the TV Tuner. Sometime it does and sometimes it doesn't. I unloaded and reloaded just the TV tuner and it worked but when I restarted the system, it failed again. I have completed current updates and nothing is working. Any help would be great.

Install the Driver manually, the automatic installation of the driver is not installing the drivers properly, that is why when you restart the system it is not able to identify the device. for this uninstall the driver restart your system then install the driver manually.

Hi there. I've worked for Sony VAIO and can assure you that the only solution is to get a Sony Branded Spare parts. The parts of Sony VAIO are very specific. As of now I see that the only solution for you is to either contact Sony Service Center or go for an external DVD Drive.
