Gotta take it all the way apart, which is not that tough, but does take a large amount of patience. What type of laptop you got there?

got backup?

ahh..that's what I have too. Ok..so to get the water stain out, you need to open up that system. Are you up to that task, or do you need some technical adept to assist you? If so, it will take around 35 min for someone that knows how to.

How do I clean the LCD/LED screen without smudging or leaving a water mark

Hi Herkandjen,
Most TV companies recommend only a dry cotton cloth for cleaning the LCD screens. My personal experience is that using a mildly moist clean cotton cloth is the best thing for this purpose. For tough oily marks MILD soap solution can also be used in place of water. Please be careful to apply only very mild pressure while cleaning. Never ever spray the screen with any kind of liquid. Because the liquid if seeped through the plastic frame can damage the electronics inside. Happy viewing.

How should i remove water stains in my cell?

It sounds like the phone's screen capillaries soaked up the water, and unfortunately there really isn't much you can do aside from replacing the LCD.

Replacements range from $20 - $30 on amazon and ebay. If you've ever worked on an iPod and were successful, this should be a cake walk to do.

People have tried using alcohols or ammonia in these cases, but those are risky solutions and are likely to further damage the LCD. I would advise against using any chemical fixes.

You may also get lucky; it's possible that the water trapped within the screen capillaries may evaporate over time.

Looks like a water stain on the sceen

Liquid and/or water stains in LCD screens can be removed by opening the panel and cleaning with a delicate non-abrasive cloth {If needed use a diluted alcohol water mix.} The water will be trapped between the plastic sheeting that is within the panel assembly. This procedure is very easy on a laptop though since you have a 42" screen... The LCD panel is composed of: the display itself and several layers of translucent plastic sheets which focus and enhance the image produced by the display. The display is usually very thin so perhaps on such a large screen it is best that you have a professional perform the repair.

If you decide to undertake this task on your own, I recommend a flat level surface and latex gloves to prevent further smudging {also, most if not all LCD's contain mercury.}

Spot like watermark on screen

When you see this starting to develope it is usually indicative of the screen delaminating. The different layers of the lcd may be failing and the picture will start to get more and more destorted. There is no fix except screen replacement.

Hello! I'v dropped my n96 into toillet, however i'v mannaged to get it out in seconds. I'v disassembled it and let it dry for half a day in bowl of rice. After i assembly it again and turn it on, phone is...

The answer to that is the water has permeated the lcd.It sounds as though really you have been lucky.
If you search for used cell phone parts it will give you a idea on price to fix.

Sorry!

I have water stains on my monitor! How do i fix it.

First off, NEVER USE WATER OR WINDEX OR ANY NORMAL HOUSEHOLD CLEANERS TO CLEAN ANY LCD DISPLAY. You need a special cleaner made specifically for those. Just cleaning it with the special cleaner will solve the problem if the water stains are on the outside of the monitor's screen. If the stains are inside, unfortunetly there is not much to do except bring it to your local technician and hope he can fix it. If he cannot, try to get it replaced under warranty or buy a new one.

My lcd has a big stain, but it seems to be inside the screen, I had tryed to clean but it not desapear, I think i shall clean it internally, but i dont know hot to disarm it.

If it looks like a big stain usually that means some of the liquid crystalline is leaking, you can't clean it. You'll have to replace the lcd in order to fix the problem.

IT SHOULD NOT NEED A "REPAIR" PER SAY. HOWEVER, I OWN AN LCD TV, BUT NOT A PROTRON. YOU'RE GONNA FIND THIS PROBLEM WITH ALL LCD TV'S. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS SIMPLY DIRTY. THIS IS THE WAY YOU CLEAN YOUR SCREEN. IT IS VERY EASY AND FAST, AND YOU SHOULD HAVE THE SOLUTION IN YOUR KITCHEN AND BATHROOM. TAKE THE CLEANEST, MOST SOFT CLOTH YOU HAVE IN YOUR HOUSE. DAMPEN,NOT SOAK IT, WITH WATER, AND LIGHTLY RUB A SMALL SECTION OF THIS STAIN, AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK, ADD A SMALL AMOUNT OF SIMPLE RUBBING ALCOHOL, AND TRY ANOTHER SMALL SPOT OF THE STAIN. IT SHOULD COME OFF. SOME OF MY "HI-TECH" FRIENDS USE STRAIGHT RUBBING ALCOHOL, AS IT HAS A TENDENCY TO EVAPORATE A LOT FASTER THAN WATER AND LESS LIKELY TO LEAVE ANY "WATER STAINS". HOWEVER, IF YOU CANNOT SEE THROUGH THIS STAIN, THEN YOU'RE BETTER OFF BUYING A NEW TV. SOUNDS LIKE SOME KIND OF LEAK OR MAYBE THE TV IS JUST NEVER SHUT OFF, THEREFORE BURNING IMAGES INTO THE SCREEN. FORTUNATELY, IF IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, YOU MAY GET HELP THERE. MY FIANCE TOUCHED THE LCD SCREEN WITH HIS FINGERS, AND IF YOUR FINGERS ARE DIRTY, THEY WILL LEAVE OIL STAINS. PEOPLE DO SOMETHING TO A PRIZE POSSESSION IN YOUR HOUSE, DONT TELL YOU THEN ACT LIKE THEY DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. ITS HILARIOUS. HOPEFULLY THE ISSUE YOU HAVE CAN BE FIXED BY YOU!
