The first time you connect a device
    that plugs into a universal
    serial bus (USB) port, Windows
    automatically installs a driver
for that device. After a driver is installed, you can disconnect and reconnect
the device without performing any additional steps.

    Before you install your device
Check the instructions included with the device to determine
whether a driver should be installed before you connect the device. Typically,
Windows detects a new device after you connect
it, and then installs the driver automatically. However, some devices require
you to install the driver before plugging the device in.

Also, while most devices that have power switches should be turned
on before you connect them, others require that you turn them on during the
installation process. Because of issues like this, it's a good idea to read the
instructions included with a new device before you connect it.

If the instructions that came with your device contradict the
information in this topic, follow the instructions that came with the
    device.

    Plugging your device in
If your USB device uses a power cord, you should connect the
device to a power source and turn it on before connecting it.

    Next, determine which USB port
you want to connect your device to. If your computer has USB ports on the front,
consider using one of those if you plan to frequently connect and disconnect the
    device.

YOU MUST NOW " SYNC" YOUR DEVICE WITH MEDIA PLAYER THIS IS HOW TO DO IT.

Set up a device to sync in Windows Media Player

You can use Windows Media Player
to copy music, videos, and pictures from your Player library
    to a portable
device, such as a compatible MP3 player. This process is called synchronization or syncing.
There are two methods for syncing items to a device: automatically or manually.
When you connect a device to your computer for the first time, Windows Media Player selects the sync method that
works best for your device, depending on the device's storage capacity and the
size of your Player library. After your device is set up the first time, you can
choose a different sync method if you want.

    1. Start the Player, turn on your device, and then connect it to your
computer. If prompted, select the AutoPlay option to sync the device using Windows Media Player.

    2. Do one of the following:

      • If the Player has selected to sync your device automatically,
click Finish. When you do so, the Player will sync your
entire library to your device. After that, your device will automatically sync
every time you connect it to your computer while Windows Media Player is running.

      • If the Player has selected to sync your device manually, click
Finish. Then, in the Sync tab, you
can select the files and playlists you want to sync manually. For more
        information, see Sync manually
        in Windows Media Player
        .

I am having trouble downloading music to my Delstar DS 809 Portable Media Player. Please help as I am computer challenged.

Hey! Once you download music, you then transfer the music to your Delstar. I'm not sure whether or not it's allowed to post peer-to-peer (generally illegal) program's websites on this website. Therefore, let's say that you purchase your music from an online company such as Apple through iTunes or Rhapsody. After purchasing and downloading the music you want through iTunes or Rhapsody, you then are able to transfer the files onto your Delstar. You can either save the files to your Delstar (using iTunes) or going to the file's location in Windows Explorer and then moving them to your Delstar. This same method can be used with Peer-to-Peer programs. However, said such programs run the risk of a virus piggy-backing onto the music files and, consequently, onto your computer. Torrenting is another method as well. If you say that you are computer-challenged, your best and safest bet is to do it through iTunes. It will cost money, but it will be safe. Therefore, I have provided this link and video that explains how to utilize iTunes. Computer skills are not easily learned, and mistakes will occur along the way. Patience and research are always a great way of tackling a computing problem. I've noticed that, over time, my knowledge of computers has grown fantastically just from everyday use and research. Good luck!

Cannot download music to a delstar 4327

Hook your USB cable into the device and into your computer. Your computer should acknowledge a new device. The easy way to move mp3 music is:
Click the START button on your desktop (bottom left)
Click COMPUTER or MY COMPUTER
Look for REMOVEABLE DISK and click it open
Look for a folder called MUSIC and click it open
Drag folders containing the music you want to listen to into the MUSIC folder.
Close.
SAFELY disconnect the device from computer.

Use BitTorrent to download music. It's free!

If you mean to put music to the player, plug it in onto the another available computer to see if it works. Or format the player. If you still having problems, you can upgrade the firmware of this product.

Delstar 1GB MP4 with Music Player, Video Recorder and 1.3MP Camera

the way to download music on this device is complicated.
I only know how to put music on the mp4 player from itunes.

First, you plug in the usb cord to the back of your computer and to the mp4 player.

Next, you go to the start button and hit my computer.

Then, there should be something on the bottom right of the window saying "Removable Disk". hit that and a folder should say music.

If you use itunes then you copy paste songs into the folder.

If not, i'm not exactly sure how to do it. sorry.
