Question about Brother IntelliFAX 560 Plain Paper Fax
I have a Brother 560 Personal Plain Paper Fax Machine. I cannot receive any faxes but I can receive them. Also, when I try to make a copy, the only option that I have is to print the help sheet. The instructions state to press the Copy/Help button twice to copy but it doesn't work. It appears that the machine is not recognizing the automated document feeder. Can anyone help?
It sound like the paper is not getting recognised by the original sensor. Check for an obstruction in the feedpath - piece of paper, paper clip, pin, cockroach, apple core, tube of cake decorator (I've seen it all). Do this by opening the control panel cover (the one you open when you replace your cartridge and look through where the original feeds. Also see if the original sensor arm is in place. In the white plate there will be a black arm. The original sensor arm will be directly behind this sensor.
