My i265 shows ENTER SPECIAL at start up so it can't be used

What's your Network provider?
You can try to insert another carrier SIM card.Then only you can enter special code. After you can follow the below steps:
1 - Switch ON your phone with a not allowed SIM Card,
2 - Phone show "Enter Special Code",
3 - You can now enter the Unlock Code. If you want to unlock code. You can visit OnlineGSMUnlock.com here specify your Network provider,Country,IMEI..After they will send the permanent unlock code with free instructions through your E-mail..Then you can use this code to easily unlock your mobile..

Motorola I265 Unlocking InstructionsWarning : Do not enter any wrong unlock codes on your Motorola I265 mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your Motorola I265 mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.
1 - Switch ON your Motorola I265 with a NOT ACCEPTED SIM Card,
2 - Phone will display "Enter Special Code",
3 - You can now enter the Unlock Code.

NOT ACCEPTED: We mean, to use a sim card from a network other than the network your Motorola I265 is locked to.

WARNING: If one of theses messages appear :

- "Contact Service Provider"
- "Tampert Alter"
- "Wait before enter special Code"
- "Contact Service'

It's because you or somebody already entered too many wrong codes, you just have to leave the Motorola I265 ON with the errors message and after 40 minutes to 2 hours the message "Enter Code Special" will appear again!

menu > settings > security > change lock code > apply master code in place of lock code and press ok > enter new code what you want

check in the top right corner of the screen. if it shows a phone icon with a 2 next to it, you are trying to call out on the wrong line. go into menu=> settings=> phone calls=> set line. make sure set line is on 1.

when texting hit the menu button ( to the left of the arrow key) it will give u the options there
