The only place I'd expect to find a reset button is on the motor itself. That is, unless it's a ground fault problem, in which case it might be on another ground fault outlet somewhere in the house (possibly a bathroom or garage outlet) OR on the breaker - check the breaker box to see if the breaker's tripped or the GFE button needs to be reset.
Does this turn on and off with an air button or is it an electric button?
If it is an air button (as it sounds like to me) then it is most likely to be the air switch inside the box on the motor.
You should change the air switch in the motor. The cost of a latching air switch is around $21
When you push the button and the motor does not turn on there a couple of things to check. Is there power to the pump? check the circuit breaker If there is power to the motor then the air button on the top of the tub may be bad or it could be the air switch inside the motor.
First thing to consider is size of Load. Leviton countdown-timer Load rating is 1800 Watt, 120Volt. Look inside Jacuzzi at rating plate on motor. Rating plate on motor should give Volts, Watts and Amps. Formula Volts x Amps = Watts. Sometimes motor shows VA which is Watts Is Jacuzzi on 240Volt breaker or 120V breaker? Leviton countdown timer is not for 240V load.
A) If 120Volt electric Load checks out, here's how to wire timer if 1 cable enter box. Timer-black-wire connects to jacuzzi-black
Timer-white-wire connects to ground.
Timer-green connects to ground. Timer-red connects to jacuzzi-blue.
B) Here's how to wire timer if 2 cables enter box. 120Volt cable coming from breaker box has black, white and bare copper wire. Timer-black-wire connects to black-wire-from-breaker Timer-white-wire connects to white-wire-from-breaker-box. Timer-green and jacuzzi-ground connect to ground
Timer-red-wire connects to jacuzzi-black-wire.
Jacuzzi-blue-wire connects to white. I am puzzled why this wire is blue if circuit is 120Volt.
Run an extension cord from another gfci and see if it works. If so, you could have a faulty gfci or issues internally to the motor. Also, if the "home run" for the tub is wired into a sub-panel and the grounds and neutrals are not isolated it could cause problems with a gfci as well. Hope this helps! Mike
Look behind the tub cover, it should have one. You should be looking for a GFCI it sounds like. These are the outlet that you generally have in your kitchen. They have a reset button and it just sounds like it needs to be reset.
Breaker, even GFI's are designed to trip at 135% to 600% over there load rate, so not to scare you but it depends more on the wire used from the main panel to the dryer/hot tube then the breaker. A GFI's claim to fame is the speed at which it will trip if voltage is detected on the ground side of the breaker. So to answer a question with a question, Can you overload a GFI without tripping it, Yes you can, just be careful the life of your hot tube motor and heater could be in danger if you overload the circuit.
sometime the kitchen has gfc outlets around the walls and one of them tripped. but not likely , it sounds like the microwave fried some valuable circuitry.
