If you lost the communication between the base and the handset, check in the users manual how to link them both. It looks like the charger may be still working since you are getting no link to base.
Try to disconnect the base from the power outlet and remove the battery from the handset and wait two minutes to plug them back in again.
Let me know the model number to help you further.

Hi,

unplug both wires at back of base and replug after about 5 minutes - it should work now.
And if this solution does not solve your problem as you said that the phone is not charging take it to the repair shop ask him once about the problem and then buy a charger..

Goodluck..

Make sure all metal connectors are ok and clean. if needed use a pin to pull up the pins on the station if they dont make contact with the phone.

Check the charger once...
which type of charger u r using is it the base charger or normal travel charger ...
if it is base charger then ur phone is not connected properly i think...
just have a check..
if u have warranty then just take the cell to the shop from which u purchased it ...
as it is brand new there will not b problem with the battery i think just have a change with the charger & c..
it should work

Caller ID is not working

Hello Samiran mandal, here is a solution.I purchased one cordless telephone (Siemens Gigaset) in Germany. I also had the same problem, caller-id did not work. I purchased this telephone because we can set different ringtones for different caller groups. But, if caller-id doesn't work, this feature also doesn't work. I had gone through internet and finally found that CA electronics, Bangalore has it and got it through courier (I live in Pondicherry). It worked flawlessly for two years. Then it stopped working. For 'no reason' I ordered for a 'caller-id' unit on ebay for Rs.75/- (+ Rs.75 shipping). I just got the unit and fixed it to my line. Very very surprisingly, my cordless telephone is now showing caller info. This is a real surprise to me. By the way, caller-id unit is "Eurotel" make, DTMF/FSK caller-id. I feel this is very nice solution. The 'caller-id' unit is nice (backlit display) and also there is no need of converter for using the caller-id feature of your foreign telephone. I connected caller-id between the line and telephone. That's all. Enjoy.

Handset 2 which is doc upstairs goes dead as soon as you want to use it

It's time for a replacement battery. Cordless telephone batteries can be purchased at most places that sell cordless telephones, or battery stores such as batteries plus.

A test for this is that you can swap the batteries with handset 1 and see if the problem follows the batteries.
Does it appear to be charging when on the cradle?
Attempt to charge Handset 2 on the charging cradle you have for Handset 1.

Good Luck,
Mark

3 month old new phone. samsung tocco lite. battery problem

1) faulty battery - you'd need to get a replacement from the manufacturer (should be free if still under warranty)
2) when you initially charged the battery after purchasing, if you used it at all before it was completely charged it won't hold a charge.
3) if you live or travel in mountain area, phones lose battery power quicker due to an increase in elevation and distance from nearest tower.
4) if phone has been exposed to moisture or direct sunlight for an extended amount of time, it can damage the phone's ability to hold a charge.

honestly, your best bet is to replace the battery & allow it to charge for 24 hours in "off mode". if the problem persists, then send it in to be repaired.

I have purchased a GE Model 28112 Series DECT 6.0 telephone. I cannot get the call waiting light at the top right hand corner of the handset to turn off. It blinks blue constantly, even when the phone is...

Mine does the same thing and I called GE for service. They said they could cover it under warranty if less than a year old. It is not! They told me to unplug the phone for the Elec, phone line and take out the battery for about 4 hrs. I did overnight and still have the flashing light to with the charging light.
Go buy a new one and return the old one in its place would be my suggestion.
