As costs of repairing a TV can get expensive here is a quick and inexpensive fix.
1) Get a VCR and hook the cable into it and then connect the VCR to the TV with RCA cables. Now days you can get a VCR pretty cheap at a thrift store or a pawn shop then use the tuner in the VCR to change the channels.

OR

2) Get a digital cable box from your cable provider and ask to have it hooked up with RCA cables. This option avoids the need for the cable jack and get to take advantage of the digital channels.

Good Luck...

Hi my mini convertible roof it not working . hooks will not lift

If the hooks unlock on one side and not the other the cable that pulls the hooks is broken on one side. This requires the front section of the convertible top to be replaced. Unfortunately there is no way to fix the cable that connects to the hooks.

How to hook up an old RCA 14 inch tv to DVD

Easy. All you have to do is to make sure that the DVD player is old the older types that have RCA connectors at the back of the DVD. Latest DVD may have RCA connections but I am not sure if it can send digital signal directly to the analog TV. Try this and see what happens. if your TV is old and does not have Component Video (Red/Green/Blue) RCA sockets (input) but has standard Pal/NTSC sockets (Yellow/Red/Black) hook up the yellow, red and black plugs into a DVD (out) RCA sockets of same colour, then hook up the other end of the cable in the (in) RCA sockets at the rear of the TV.
If it works, then all is well. If it doesn't work, then you have to hook up the cable from the DVD to the (input) RCA sockets of a Set Top Box, so that the Set Top Box will convert the signals for the analog TV. Just pay attention to the inputs and outputs at the rear of them.
On your DVD - plug the RCA cable to the (OUTPUT) RCA sockets. On the Set Top Box - plug the connectors in the (IN) RCA sockets and then use another cable connected to the OUT RCA's of the Set Top Box, then connect the other connectors to the (IN) of the TV RCA sockets. Hopefully you get the picture on what I mean.

I Have my RCA CABLE HOOKED UP INTO MY TV I HAVE A PICTURE HOWEVER I DON'T HAVE ANY VOLUME AT ALL

How do you have it hooked up? RCA cables, HDMI, DVI, etc...
If you're using RCA cables (usually red, yellow, and white) check and make sure that the audio cables (red and white) are plugged into the correct sockets with corresponding colors. If you have properly connected the cables and your issue persists, then you might have faulty wires (might have a pinch which could have broken the wire through the inside) try again with different wires and see if it works. if it still doesn't work try pluging your RCA cables on different sockets (TVs usually have more than one component sockets)...make sure your red and white wires are on the same component # as the yellow wire.

How to fix a broken earthernet port hole snap that click and snap the earther net cable in the socket

you can do several things.
  1. have the whole cable replaced
  2. remove the end of both connection and re-crimp the broken end, a computer shop can do it for you.
  3. if you are not in such a hurry, re plug the end again and tape it with the vga cable to hold it in place.

The antenna plug on the back of my tv to hook cable up to just fell out. i don't know if i should be able to put it back in a specific way or if i'm just ******.

If this was the plug- the RF plug socket - that had come off and fallen all you need is to remove the power of the TV in the first place.
Now get access to the back of the TV- use a good flash light and since it is easy to see the RF pin protrudingg forward , you can plug and mate the socket into the pin.
Now if this pin is broken it can be due to a faulty pin or even if this is direct link to the TUNER in which case you will need a soldering iron to solder the broken pin and fix.
This is not a tough job and can be done by you with such care.

I dropped my multimedia player and now it's not working. It does not appear in the multimedia system interface nor when I hook it up to my laptop via USB. It was almost no impact since it's only 10 cm...

...if it was playing when it happened, it more than likely can not be fixed! It's broken now. Depending on what is/was on it, maybe a recovery service can get your saved items off it to transfer to a new device. I dunno what it is so I can't guess the quality of workmanship, reputation, customer service. I take that it's not battery operated(or it could be?), It could have a safe shut-down feature but I don't know without more clarity?

Rf switch

If you have the original SNES it has both an RCA socket for the R/F switch and the Nintendo A/V out socket for the red, yellow and white A/V cable. The second generation smaller SNES only has the Nintendo A/V out socket and will not accept am R/F switch. You must use a Nintendo A/V cable.
